Summary: If you are shooting high-light outside conditions with nothing in motion you will do fine with this camera. My old S3-IS would have done an infinitely superior job at my son's school event which the recording of is now wasted because of this piece of junk Fuji camera. The S3 has half the megapixels but takes pictures twice as good. The camera also came with a defective battery which Fuji declined to replace. It would self-discharge in 3 days flat.
Summary: Perfect camera for just about anyone who is looking for a high quality point-n-shoot. My wife had one, and I was so happy with the ease of use and quality of pictures she took, I refused to get anything else but another just like it. The price is just right for what you get. My wife keeps hers in a soft skin cover in her purse. It gets a workout. Still works and looks like new. Battery lasts FOREVER.
Excerpt: While the performance of the camera is not the most stellar, it is an easy and quick camera. Its auto setting "SR Auto" can recognize faces, smiles, nighttime and macro quickly. This camera is pretty much the middle of the road, but it is super easy to use. It has very little options. Problems: Cords that came along became defective after only a few months of use.
