Summary: I have only had this camera a few days butt have taken a few hundred pics the qaulty is very good for a point and shoot have read reviews where it is said tobe very fragile so i handeld whith caution very east to use
Summary: there are many reviews about this camera that are negative. I bought one and then read the reviews. After receiving it the night before a trip to the Caribbean, I tested it against a known good camera. The battery lasted the week and is still good. The picture quality was equal after I cleaned the lens with the proper paper. Maybe the lens speed is slow and the shutter is therefore open a bit longer, but a steady hand makes a good picture.
Summary: I bought the camera for my not so technical mother who is hooked on disposable cameras and it is super easy to use, even my mother can operate it with ease and THAT says ALOT!! :) It is small, light and very sleek. The picture quality is amazing compared to some of the 10.0 megapixel cameras I have seen, An all around good camera.
Summary: good overall camera bought from a great seller and got a great deal on it great focus slim and lightweight only problem is i have to use the flash or the pic turns out red but good camera overall
Summary: I've had the Fujifilm J50 since january, and I love it. Having this camera has made me have a passion for photography, and i've been getting so many positive comments on the pictures that I take with this camera from people. Indoor pictures usually don't turn out as good, the coloring is usually off a little bit, but it's nothing you can't fix on your computer.
Pros: Great for outdoor and flower shots, easy to handle, easy to understand, the battery will last a very long time, it doesn't get scratched very easily.
Cons: If you're looking to take a lot of pictures indoors, in tricky lighting conditions, this may not be the camera for you. Color and Lighting are a bit bad. but outdoor pictures are great.

28 March 2010
Excerpt: FUJI FINEPIX J50 REVIEW I've had a few cameras in my time , but when i picked up the Fuji finepix j50 i got a good piece of technology I'm proud of. This camera is a 8.2 mega pixel camera( that on its own means Crystal clear photos) ,with a 4" LCD back screen to view your photos and video play back.
Pros: GOOD QUALITY,8 . 2MP, 5X ZOOM, RECHARGEABLE LONG LIFE BATTERY
Summary: As I was returning to photography for the first time for 45 years, I read the Amazon reviews of several models and took advice from a professional. This is a fine camera, very good results and excellent value for money. One quibble: as noted by another reviewer, the scene selection wheel protrudes at the side of the casing; this makes selection easier but it can also cause the wheel to be jogged to a different position while in its carrying case.
Summary: I took the camera on holiday with me last week to the States. We went to the Canyonlands, National Parks and Navajo reserves in Utah and Arizona. The results were startling for a complete beginner with Digital Photography, with clear pictures. 2 minor gripes: there is no eye line sight to aim the camera, only the screen on the back - this is very difficult in bright sunlight.
