Beware of used cameras, I guess they are on sale for a reason.

  • Summary: I bought this camera because it was similar to the j-2 that I had good luck with for years. I had trouble with this camera's zoom lens not working most of the time. The cost to even have someone look at it was more than the camera. I would never buy another 'used' camera. I guess it might be good for parts!

Difficult to operate

christina l nelson, Amazon
4 January 2013
  • Summary: We bought one for my mother and one for our 12 year old son. They both had difficulty figuring out how to use it. The battery doesn't last long either. Next time, I would buy a Canon Sureshot.

Good little point and shoot

  • Excerpt: The things I was looking for in buying this were pretty basic.  I wanted something that was able to take pictures fairly quickly to be able to capture my kids in action.  check  I wanted something that had a good battery life.  check  I wanted to be able to point and click and have it turn out well.  check I know nothing about lens speed or exposure or anything else like that.  I am very amatuer when it comes to taking pictures, but I didn't want to sacrifice quality.

Fujifilm Finepix J38 nice camera but broken :(

  • Excerpt: My daughter purchased this camera for me for Christmas last year and one of the main reasons she got it for me is because I was having so much trouble with my 7.0 megapixel Akai wearing down batteries with no warning. The Fujifilm Finepix camera is a 12.2 megapixel camera that takes great pictures for casual users like myself. The best feature to me was the battery seemed to last quite a long time and it did not have to be removed to recharge it.

Not impressed with the Fujifilm J38.

  • Excerpt: After owning a Fujifilm camera I loved for years and reading numerous good reviews online of the J38 digital camera I finally decided to cave in and buy one. Not the best decision I've ever made. This camera is lackluster at best, and that's being generous. The saturation is off, the contrast is off and you might as well forget about taking decent indoor pictures.. especially without a flash.

Good overall camera for it's value.

medessec2012, Ebay
23 March 2012
  • Summary: I got this camera off of a friend, as he never really used it at all and it seemed like a perfectly good digital camera. In the times that I have used it, it's a very good camera for it's value. It doesn't glitch out or do a terrible job managing pictures, and it's fairly easy to use. It's also quite simple, and it can use SD cards. Main problems I have with this camera is that it can have a hard time getting a good picture indoors with dimmer lighting.
