Excerpt: Smaller and more pocketable than I expected, the J30 serves a definite role: It's the camera that I have with me everywhere. It is the size of a mobile phone. The 12 megapixel resolution is helpful ... but only in good light. The battery seems to last pretty long once fully charged. You buy this camera for one reason: Portability. Problems: In low light the image is very noisy. The LCD display's image includes some aberration on the left edge and there's one bad pixel.
Summary: Ordered this camera as a Christmas present. Camera arrived from UK to Slovakia just in 5 days! Perfect! Also in Czech menu, which was superb because person who was present for doesnt speak English. Thank You very much.
Summary: I bought this today 2nd hand for about £22 so for the price it's amazing. I bought this camera for reading festival 2012 so if it gets broken it doesn't matter too much, it's a good size so fits in the hand nicely and easy in the pocket. Has multiple scene settings (not as many as my olympic tg-610 but that was £170) but generally firework mode makes fireworks look amazing, a lot of tech has gone into this setting with little boast.
Summary: My last camera broke so I needed a cheap but good fix. I chose this camera as I know fujifilm are good. It hasn't let me down! except the fact I've lost the charger now lol. but once I find it I will be back to picturing all my memories, it's such a fast and lovely camera! looks so expensive but so cheap! almost too cheap!
Summary: Takes lovely little pics - except in fading light or indoors. I love the fact it's tiny and slips into my pocket. The next camera I buy will have a bigger zoom and lens - but it will be difficult for it to be any handier.
Decent, affordable camera, but very poor at night photos
Rocket Scientist, Amazon

Summary: I used this camera in Vietnam in 2010 and The USA in 2011. It's compact and easy to use but the zoom is only 3x which is quite restricting. Navigating the the menu is easy - the process of selecting and deleting unwanted images, changing modes and supressing the flash is simple and clear. The daytime photos were very good for a cheaper camera - the three stage panoramic mode is easy to use and effective when stitching three photos together.
Fujifilm Finepix J30: Fujifilm FinePix J30 Digital Camera
2 October 2011
Summary: This camera was purchased from Amazon in 2009 for around £100. The box included; The camera, a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery and charger, a wristband, mini USB data cable, manuals and PC software. The camera has a strong build quality although being made of plastic, and the black glossy finish is very pretty. The screen is bright, detail and works well in all lighting conditions, which is good as this camera does NOT have a view finder.
Pros: Good value for money. Good photograph results. Good build quality.
Cons: Lack of manual settings. Average video quality . Poor battery life.
Summary: I bought this model a year ago. Recently quite a big black dot started to appear on the screen (and the picture) so I decided to buy a new camera from Canon instead of having it repaired, because I never quite liked it. Problems I had was (1) Fiddly settings (2) Photo quality (3) Zoom error All sorts of pre-settings are there - like "Natural Light" "Beach" "Sunset" "Party" etc etc but quite fiddly. You have to keep scrolling the menu on the screen.
