Summary: I bought the FinePix J250 to replace a non working 5mp polaroid shooter that i got three years ago. The things i like about this camera are: the huge 5x optical focus, that the usb cable is a standard mini B and that it comes with rechargeable batteries. It's also a very stylish camera and looks really good.
Summary: I'm going to write a follow up eventually but right off the bat, I have to say I love Fujifilm cameras. I had one from 2004-2006 that got stolen, replaced it and used it until I broke it. Eventually I tried an Olympus Stylus 710 and it was.. ALWAYS blurry, always fuzzy and just didn't react well in low light, or .. any light. The Fujifilm is a bit heavier than my Olympus and a touch heavier than the older model I had (can't remember the number) but, it's beautiful.
Summary: The most notable thing about the J250 is that the build quality is superb, i used to have a similar Casio which was very plastic. The J250 is heavy and finished in lovely black metal. It takes razor sharp pictures that never come out blurred and its 28mm wide angle lens is adequate though unspectacular. It has a rechargeable Li-ion battery and battery time is good between charges. I think this is a lovely camera of high quality, you feel like it will never break!
Summary: Despite being ordered shortly before christmas the camera(Fujifilm Finepix j250) arrived very quickly.I am still getting to grips with the technicalities of it's various features. The operating instructions were on disk, but I much prefer operating instructions to be in booklet form. The supplier was extremely efficient and as mentioned delivery took only a few days.
Fuji FinePix J250. A lot of camera for a little money
2 September 2009
Excerpt: For a relatively inexpensive camera, the Fuji FinePix J250 has some surprising features stowed away in that little casing, such as digital/sensor shift Image Stabilization, Face Detection, Scene Recognition and a whopping great 3” LCD screen. The 5x optical zoom gives a focal range of 5.1 – 25.5mm, or 28 – 140mm in 35mm equivalent terms, which is great for a wide range of situations, and there is Continuous Shooting, albeit it at a lowly rate of 1.4fps.
