Summary: I worked as a field/combat photojournalist for at least 35 of the 50 years I used photography to make my living and express my creative side. Working with 35mm cameras and the conventional B&W and color films of the day, I carried anywhere between two and four camera bodies, four or five fixed-focal length lenses (24mm to 500mm), color and exposure meters, umpteen kinds of filters and as much film that I could stuff into my Domke bag.
Summary: This is a fantastic camera. I have used it for several years now and am still learning how to use it! Guess it's time to buy the latest and greatest model ( HS50EXR )... The 30X manual zoom lens turns the camera into a handy telescope. It has more bells and whistles than anyone will ever use. ( Cat mode anyone? ) I have used it for birding, astronomy, leaping fish, HD movies, candlelit portraits....
Summary: This camera is fantastic! It replaced a much older FujiFilm camera, and the additions in features are huge. The photo quality is better, low-light performance is better, and the automatic functions have improved. I specifically wanted a camera with a hot shoe for a separate flash, a long zoom (30x), and one with anti-shake, which this one has. It uses a proprietary battery rather than four AA cells, which turned out to be an advantage.
Summary: i love this camera one is it takes stunning great pictures. i love the 30x zoom. also the camera has so many settings i have still not figured out what they all mean. i also love the battery i don't use the camera all the time but the battery stays charged for months at a time and the video is full 1080p also you will be amazed at the sound this camera picks up when in video mode.
From macros to mega zoom, this is an exceptional camera

Summary: My primary interest is wildlife, and especially birds. So the long zoom is essential. The EXR 1/2" sensor is what sets this camera apart from other mega zoom cameras in this price range. Because of the way the pixels are arranged, it can take higher quality photos at 8 MP, rather than lower quality photos at 12 or 16 MP. Trust me, 8 MP is still plenty of resolution. It's the noise (especially false colors) that destroys a photo, not the resolution.
Summary: Fujifilm FinePix HS30EXR Digital Camera This is my first Review ever of any Camera on AMAZON or on any site. I read a lot all the Comments and discussion in this site and in others as well about the EXR Fuji Family, before I jumped in and bought this HS30-EXR Camera 03 months ago. I come from the CANON world since 10 years ago and I have no doubt whatsoever this is the best Camera I have had of all the ones (Canon - SX1-IS, SX20-IS and SD980-IS) I had before.
Summary: This is a great camera that can take great pictures. Love the manual zoom much easier and quicker to use than the auto zooms on most of the bridge cameras. Love the feature set. I have not run into a single situation so far that I could not get excellent pictures in as long as I was willing to learn to use the camera settings available. You can take almost any picture in any situation without having to add anything additional to the camera.
