Excellent photo quality with many professional features
16 January 2014
Summary: The camera is excellent. Picture quality is quite clear. The camera includes many advanced features that may be used by a semi and/or professional photographer. Locking in the frame to be shot for a more precise photograph is a favored feature. I highly recommend such a camera to those who wish to pursue advance photography.
Excerpt: + Very sharp tele photos at f 7,1. (Sharp tele lenses are very expensive) + Use it with 800 ISO, 8MP (no more) and sociore 1,8x converter.Nice birds shootings possible.Try it. + very nice colors, high contrast and very good sharpness (besides wide angle in the corners) + AA batteries - Video lanscapes are 'jumping' sometimes, when moving bridge HS20 too quickly.
Summary: I've been using this camera for quite some time and just realized I had never reviewed it. It has been to Southern Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and all over the US. I am very satisfied with this camera. I'm sure that the next step up would have cost double what I paid for this camera. It's easy to use and with a little experimentation you can take pictures just about anywhere with the scenes settings.
Summary: I order this camera not really knowing what to expect and it only to about 9 days to recieve it I am deployed in Afghanistan with the US Military and other the war that is going on its nice to get some nice pics of the country and people with my first camera it took pics but not real clear this new HS20 is perfect and with 30X wide view its awesome
Summary: This camera took longer than I hoped to be delivered, but it was worth the wait! The photo settings (default) are absolutely horrid, but if you mess with the ISO, aperture, picture size, and pretty much every other setting, this camera is better than a 900 dollar Canon DSLRs. As far as the video quality goes, out of the box the video quality is pretty great, but if you mess around with the settings for video, you can get it even better.
