Excellent photo quality with many professional features
16 January 2014
Summary: The camera is excellent. Picture quality is quite clear. The camera includes many advanced features that may be used by a semi and/or professional photographer. Locking in the frame to be shot for a more precise photograph is a favored feature. I highly recommend such a camera to those who wish to pursue advance photography.
Excerpt: + Very sharp tele photos at f 7,1. (Sharp tele lenses are very expensive) + Use it with 800 ISO, 8MP (no more) and sociore 1,8x converter.Nice birds shootings possible.Try it. + very nice colors, high contrast and very good sharpness (besides wide angle in the corners) + AA batteries - Video lanscapes are 'jumping' sometimes, when moving bridge HS20 too quickly.
Summary: Overall the camera is great. I loved it. The only problem I had with it was the fact it would freeze. 20 pics at a time, then 10, then 5, then 1, with each time having to remove the batteries. There was a firmware update but it didn't fix the problem and you also run the risk of bricking your camera. So all in all, great pictures, very cool features and tons of stuff you can personalize, just a bad manufacturer defect, that they don't admit to.
Summary: I totally recommend this camera to ANYONE! It takes fabulous pictures when in Auto mode, and is also fully manual if you want to put in a little more effort. The kit is alright. The extra rechargeable batteries are nice, but the case and most of the little extras are poor quality. The camera actually doesn't even fit well in the case.
Summary: This camera took longer than I hoped to be delivered, but it was worth the wait! The photo settings (default) are absolutely horrid, but if you mess with the ISO, aperture, picture size, and pretty much every other setting, this camera is better than a 900 dollar Canon DSLRs. As far as the video quality goes, out of the box the video quality is pretty great, but if you mess around with the settings for video, you can get it even better.
