Good camera but not what was ordered
7 March 2014
Summary: Ordered an F800EXR camera and after a week and an email contact finally got item shipped. I paid for expedited handling and did not get it. Upon opening package found I had been shipped an F900EXR which is a newer version with some functions removed. Will keep camera as I do not have time to send it back for what I ordered.
Summary: I hardly would reccomend this camera. I bought it since specs were superior. But, a lot of noises on picture, even when using flash. Anything above ISO 400 gets to bad quality pictures. 50 dollar camera takes better pictures than this one. EXR-Auto feauture not really helpful, flash you have to press button then it will start working, so its manual flash I would say. Many cons than pros.
Summary: Well, considering I own a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX30V and Canon PowerShot S100 also, it's hard for me to get overly excited about this Fuji camera - being spoiled with higher standards. Sony/Canon pretty much wins in all aspects. If this was my first digital camera, I'm sure I'd give it a 4 stars... the reason for the 3 stars is that this camera is "OK" and for the price, there are better options as well.
Summary: I loved the performance of this camera from its very quick shutter response to its super zoom. Unfortunately the lens cover, which is made up of a number of sliding leaves, proved too fragile. It broke while I was on holiday in Florida. I returned it to Amazon and was promptly refunded. I replaced it with a camera with a simple lens cap to avoid a repeat.
Summary: the camera itself appears very good. however, there is no instruction manual. it took three attempts to up-load the instruction disc. there are no instructions on it, nor have I been able to download any photographs. my past experience of Fuji has been brilliant. this one has been a disaster, through lack of an instruction manual.
