Conclusion: Its a just OK snapshot camera but too many options very complicated to use I found, to have as a family camera , Still the old F30 has better clarity nicer photos but less features of course .
Pros: Its a just OK snapshot camera but too many options very complicated to use I found, to have as a family camera , Still the old F30 has better clarity nicer photos but less features of course .
Cons: Flash weak, noisier than 6 mp Fujis. white balance on the cool side ,Blurry unclear at the longer end of the lens.. smeary results to.
Summary: well made & equiped copmact only let down for me was the Macro setting, i bought this camera to use for digi scoping thats taking pictures through my telescope of wildlife, unfortunatley the best results obtained are when cameras are used on the Macro setting for this purpose, the reviews i read on the camera prior to purchase, rated it very highly yet did not mention the poor macro.
Liked pictures but this is the 2nd Fuji with a stiff zoom button!

Summary: I found this camera lovely to use, really simple and to look at! Compact and solid and it took sharp pictures but this is the second Fujifilm camera to develop a stiff zoom button I've had. No repiles from Fujifilm customer services but Amazon came up trumps and agreed to refund without any problems. Maybe it was just a rogue model - but two Fuji's with the same problem?!!
Summary: Bought this camera after reading all the good reviews on the Internet. Found the out of the box settings did not give good results and I am still experimenting with modes/setting in an attempt to improve indoor image quality. I am a little disappointment with the Fuji Finepix F70EXR, as was expected an easy to use point and shoot camera, not one I would have to spend weeks trying to reduce noise issues on indoor images.
Versatile camera but image quality could be better.

Summary: Pro's Reasonable indoor picture quality although ensure you select ISO800 or lower to avoid excessive noise. Acceptable outdoor picture quality, images reasonably sharp on both full zoom and wide angle. 27mm wide angle. 10x optical zoom in a very compact package. Good LCD screen Many scene modes and manual functions. Con's The lens is not of high quality. There is chromatic aberation (purple fringing) in far too many shots.
The 10X zoom saved the camera from being returned!

Summary: I purchased this camera because I needed to replace the basic one i had and to take pictures on night outs at the club and at home etc. I am not a professional photographer but the reviews were great so I though the high iso low noise ratio would be great for taking pictures in bars and on nights out. This first night out all the pictures were grainy and very disappointing. I wish I had walked with my basic camera as now i have to correct the pictures on photoshop.
Excerpt: "The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is billed by the manufacturer as the slimmest 10x zoom camera on the market and, at less than 23mm in depth, it is certainly very easy and convenient to carry around. The zoom is great for magnification, being the equivalent of 27-270mm in 35mm terms, but I found it to be a little fuzzy at the long end. There is also a 4x digital zoom for anyone who wants it. The FinePix F-series cameras are renowned for their low-light ...
Pros: Features, Low - light capability
Cons: A little confusing to master and a little too expensive
