The new Fujifilm FinePix F60fd is an update of last year?s 12-megapixel ultra-compact F50fd. It uses the same sensor, and has the same 3x zoom, although the range is slightly different at 35-105mm, which looks a bit restrictive compared to the wideangle capabilities of some of its rivals. The stylish all-aluminium body is virtually identical to the F50fd, and is available in the UK in either silver or a stylish matt black. Read more

We think Fujifilm could have done a better job with the Fujifilm Finepix F60fd in most respects. The shooting modes are unconventional and not very practical for many shooting environments. Advanced shooters will want to avoid this camera like the plague, and novices will struggle with the illogical menu system. The 3x optical zoom is average at best, but at least you get a 3" LCD screen. Read more

    • Good image review interface. Compact and portable.
    • No full Manual mode. Hit or miss image quality. Counterintuitive menu system.

    - Handsome design - Good resolution scores - Innovative Natural and Flash mode - Fast, effective face detection Dislikes - Problems with image noise, timing tests - Confusing menu system - Slightly bulky - Mediocre video performance Conclusion There are several points in the Fujfilm FinePix F60fd's favor, notably good image sharpness at 12 megapixels, a wide selection of preset shooting modes, the Natural plus Flash capability that automatically combines a photo with Read more

The Fujifilm FinePix F60fd has been one of the lighter updates to a previous model we've seen in this pre-Photokina build-up season, but if you were foolish enough to dismiss the F60fd just because it can't claim as many "all new" features as some of its competition, you'd potentially be making an enormous mistake. I bought this camera 2 years ago, and then it was stolen. I was so happy to find the exact same one again! It takes VERY clear pictures, has a great battery that lasts a long time, is small, and affordable. What else might you want? Read more

This is my first compact digital camera. I have 2 other Fuji cameras but they are way too big for my purse. I was looking for another great Fuji camera that I could take anywhere anytime. ( Ever been somewhere and wish you had your camera with you? This one you can take all the time!) The auto scene recognition on this camera is awesome. It automatically detects what settings it needs to be on, and it is pretty acurate. Read more

I bought this camera after reading every review on every digital camera out there in the $100-$200 price range. For the most part it has been a good camera, and the only complaint I have is the quality of low light photos. They can be very "loud" and fuzzy. Though it has 12 mega-pixels, it does not increase the picture quality significantly, and unfortunately it does increase file size. Read more

The camera features the largest sensor among subcompacts and consequently one of the best low-light performances; ISO 800 is still well useable. On the other hand, the camera chooses high ISO even if it not necessary and in most automatic modes the manual ISO override and exposure compensation are not accessible. Read more
