Summary: This camera is FANTASTIC! The quality is wonderful. It shoots video very well. 320 FPS was an added bonus! Build quality is wonderful; but don't mess with the zoom lens. It seems to be a bit lower quality than the rest.
This is close to the ideal camera to carry anywhere.
1 April 2013
Summary: I used this camera in India for the three months of April, May and June 2012. I have owned two earlier EXR models and I liked them all, but this is undoubtedly the best.
Pros: Focuses very quickly, fantastic zoom, takes pictures that are difficult to fault, starts very quickly., A wide range of options from the all automatic EXR and Program modes, to shutter or aperture priority, manual, movie - it offers all.
Cons: Some difficulty focusing on close-ups, even with the macro. You often have to fiddle with distance by standing farther back and using the zoom to take a close up!, It has VERY sluggish video focus walking to/from the subject, it's best to stand still!
Summary: This camera has saved me so many times it is difficult to remember the ways. It is just the right size to have around at all times and the picture quality--both in stills and video--is very good. I highly recommend this camera to everyone.
Summary: I find it amusing that I'm now being asked to review a product I bought for my wife's birthday last April. Big Brother really is with us, LOL That said, I purchased this Fuji camera to replace and update an older model based on the recommendation of a leading consumer magazine.
Summary: I bought this to replace a similar size camera from a different company. Have hardly had to refer to the manual as it is very intuitive and user friendly. It is very easy to transfer photos to a computer for printing. The pictures are much clear and sharper that I have found on similar size cameras.
