An extra slimline design gives this camera a great feel in your hand, and the image stablizers and good face detection will easily outface some of the competitors versions hands down.

As the replacement for the Fujifilm F30/F31fd, a camera that has reached an almost legendary status since its launch back in 2006, the Fujifilm F50fd has some big shoes to fill. If anything deserves to be called a 'classic' camera in the shortlived world of digital compact cameras it would have to be the Fujifilm F30/F31fd. It wasn't very pretty, it wasn't very feature packed and it wasn't even very cheap. But the F30/F31fd produced some of the best results we've ever... Read more
Fujifilm’s FinePix F50fd is one of the more highly anticipated compacts of recent times. It’s the successor to the legendary FinePix F30 / F31fd models which both shunned higher resolutions for better performance at higher sensitivities. So while their rivals were incessantly increasing Megapixels, Fujifilm sensibly held back and delivered superior image quality as a result. Now though their successor, the F50fd, appears to have followed the numbers game by sporting... Read more

If you have the money to get a compact just for indoors, overcast days, and lowlight situations, this is the camera you would want, because by virtue of all it's features, it is excellent for that; but if you need a compact for sunny days too, get a Canon SD850 IS ELPH; it is a most highly rated compact, and now that I have one, I can see why, and I am glad I got it. Mind you; none of these are SLRs or can produce quality such as those; but hey, the 850 is about as good... Read more
Probably one of the best cameras I've owned. It's so easy to use and works very well. The one inconvenience is that you have to take out the battery to charge the battery itself, because then when you put it back in you have to reset all the settings. But other then that it's great! Read more
I've done my research on compact cameras far and wide. From Canon sd950is to canon a650is. Despite all the chatter about this camera's "noise", the truth is- unless you plan on making posters, this camera will print superb pics worthy of cropped 8x10s. You need to know how to work it, which is pretty easy. It's iso 400-800 embarasses canon and any others. It has proven better resoulution than any other compact. And it has the best face detection system. On top of that,... Read more

I was preparing for a trip to Peru, and needed my first digital camera for my first trip out of the country. Because my room is very sparse, I was hoping to be able to decorate with some very large pictures. In fact, the only thing I cared about was the ability break a picture down into many smaller pieces, print each of them out, and to print each out so that they could be combined into very large pictures of high quality. In this, the camera worked perfectly! I printed... Read more
