Summary: This was a replacement for the same camera I had that was stolen. I love this camera and was so happy I could find the same model on Amazon. The seller did all I expected.I'm ready for Hawaii.
Summary: This is a great camera. My wife is a teacher. And we do the yearbook. The problem is classrooms and assembly halls aren't very well lit. So you need a camera with excellent low light capability. This camera is one of the better ones in that regard. Takes great pics with very good color. Lots of different modes for macro, portrait, sports, landscape, etc. But auto works perfectly a huge majority of the time. Great little camera. Wonderful little price.
Summary: This is a terrific camera, I have no complaints whatsoever. I saw one review though that said this camera is not for beginners and that might be true. It is a little more complicated than my other point and shoots that I've had (I always wind up buying fuji finepix too)but in my honest opinion once you figure out how to use it the picture and video quality is worth the time you'll take tinkering. Plus there is always the internet.
Summary: This camera is far superior to any of the pocket cameras on the market for close up photography. It works well with old documents in an archive or close ups of a painting in a museum or the flowers in a garden or the sights in any place you happen to find yourself. It's a surprisingly capable camera that is the equal of much more expensive full sized digital cameras.
Summary: Love it, love it, love it. I thought it would be difficult to use. I bought it to replace a Kodak P&S that was old (only 7MP). I used the F500 EXR for the very first time at a Monster Truck show. The pictures were fabulous!! In the EXR mode, it worked perfectly. Video's were also easy to start recording and very clear! I am anxious to play with some of the other modes, especially the panoramic (looks cool and easy). I also liked the battery life.
