Fujifilm Finepix F500EXR: Great back up for DSLR
8 May 2013
Summary: I bought this camera last year as a backup for my DSLR and because I wanted something small yet complex enough to take on holiday. It didn't disappoint, the 15X optical zoom is plenty enough and it is packed full of extras such as smart auto and loads of different scenes, one thing I would say is don't bother too much with the scenes as the EXR setting chooses the best settings for you.
Pros: Great zoom, Very reasonable price, lots of features, HD Video, simple to use
Summary: Was looking for a camera to take close up pictures of small items. The appearance of the casing is a little old fashioned but the quality of images is the best I have seen yet in a digital camera. It manages close ups very well and the instruction manual is actually pretty helpful. Connects to apple mac instantly without any problem.
Summary: My first digital camera that wasnt a Sony. The 15 x zoom has taken some great stills and videos of birds in the garden through the kitchen window. Only 4 stars as I don't know how durable it will prove and can't work out how to shoot video using the self timer. Overall a very sound camera that i would buy again. I hope it avoids the sudden death after 15 to 18 months use of most of my Sonys-good as they were.
Summary: I am very happy with the camera and have not learnt all the functions yet but have been getting some really good pictures. When taking film and a picture at the same time the recording is disrupted more than I expected but is a handy feature for a bit of fun. As footage taken is spoilt a little I would not use the take a picture opportunity if you are wanting to keep a film recording good.
Summary: The quality of the camera is excllent with a superb zoom facility and easy to use the only criticism is it is a little bulky but I guess that is down to the size of the zoom etc but none the less a good buy
Summary: camera arrived very quickly and was as advertised. you soon get used to the business with the pop up flash. the camera does look amazing esp in red and has an amazing zoom which gets you right into the action. it takes well lit and balanced pictures in exr mode in sunlight and comes with a very expansive finepix software which im yet to find my way round.
Pretty good, with some drawbacks - let down by picture quality

Summary: I've had mine now for about 6 months, and am generally pretty impressed, but have found a few niggles. I was looking for a decent advanced compact digital camera, having just had to part company with an old SLR, and having 'outgrown' the low end digitals I had been using. Alongside all that, I have an iPhone 4S, which has a pretty good camera, but which has its limits.
Summary: This product is excellent, very good features for a variety of situations both inside and outside. Easy to use controls. This is our first Digital Camera and when compared with similar products of family and friends, they are all very impressed.
