Summary: I am pleased with the camera and am enjoying its features. What I was disappointed in was it did not have a date stamp feature. As I was reviewing its list of features before buying I thought it did list that capability but after I received the camera I discovered that feature was not present. It's my fault for not being more careful in reading the listed features initially.
Class piece of kit, but image quality VERY variable

Summary: I've had my F500 for a couple of days and haven't done anything very adventurous, as I wanted to see how good the EXR mode is in various situations. First impressions are that image quality is extremely variable. Some are fantastic, some are pretty diabolical. Images of my dog, taken in the garden on an overcast but fairly bright day, look like they have been through a Photoshop "Oil Painting" filter and yet pictures of flowers taken a minute before are crystal clear and...
Summary: I bought this while on holiday choosing next day delivery.... it was a fantastic buy. I think the pictures are very good ( I have not stopped playing with it) and it is very simple to use. It came highly recommended and was used in Disney world for 3 or 4 days constant. There is only a slight issue.... the battery life could be a little better (maybe its my fault), but this was fixed when I bought a spare battery.
Summary: This is a great camera if you don't have the money for a DSLR. Ease of use is top notch, takes great pictures in all conditions, and has a great auto mode. But what doesn't come in the box is a way to charge it, while the battery is inside the camera. Meaning you take the battery out, place it in the AC charger, plug up to wall outlet. It comes with a USB cable, that plugs directly to the camera, but it's for photo transfer only (will not charge over that usb cable).
Summary: This is a great camera that takes gorgeous photos at full zoom and in very low light, and I love it - now - but I have been ready to send it back twice. The two most important pieces of advice I have, neither of which are addressed per se in the manual and may very well make you feel you need to return the camera/give up on it are: Make sure the focus is *not* on "continuous" unless you really want it on that setting for specific shots, and be aware that if you put the...
Summary: I am a digital compact camera enthsiast. This is my 6th camera in 2 years. I always search for cameras that i can fit in my jeans pocket, but also that provides great video and photos. My last camera was a Sony DSC-TX9. About the Fuji Camera: Pros: - Size and weight fells very small, amazing that a 15x zomm can fit in such a small camera. - The zoom is excellent. - Grip is very good, more than usual compacts. - Full HD video with optical zooms and stereo are very crisp.
Summary: I bought this camera last year as a backup for my DSLR and because I wanted something small yet complex enough to take on holiday. It didn't disappoint, the 15X optical zoom is plenty enough and it is packed full of extras such as smart auto and loads of different scenes, one thing I would say is don't bother too much with the scenes as the EXR setting chooses the best settings for you.
Pros: Great zoom, Very reasonable price, lots of features, HD Video, simple to use
Summary: Was looking for a camera to take close up pictures of small items. The appearance of the casing is a little old fashioned but the quality of images is the best I have seen yet in a digital camera. It manages close ups very well and the instruction manual is actually pretty helpful. Connects to apple mac instantly without any problem.
