Summary: I am pleased with the camera and am enjoying its features. What I was disappointed in was it did not have a date stamp feature. As I was reviewing its list of features before buying I thought it did list that capability but after I received the camera I discovered that feature was not present. It's my fault for not being more careful in reading the listed features initially.
Class piece of kit, but image quality VERY variable

Summary: I've had my F500 for a couple of days and haven't done anything very adventurous, as I wanted to see how good the EXR mode is in various situations. First impressions are that image quality is extremely variable. Some are fantastic, some are pretty diabolical. Images of my dog, taken in the garden on an overcast but fairly bright day, look like they have been through a Photoshop "Oil Painting" filter and yet pictures of flowers taken a minute before are crystal clear and...
Summary: I bought this while on holiday choosing next day delivery.... it was a fantastic buy. I think the pictures are very good ( I have not stopped playing with it) and it is very simple to use. It came highly recommended and was used in Disney world for 3 or 4 days constant. There is only a slight issue.... the battery life could be a little better (maybe its my fault), but this was fixed when I bought a spare battery.
Summary: This is a great camera if you don't have the money for a DSLR. Ease of use is top notch, takes great pictures in all conditions, and has a great auto mode. But what doesn't come in the box is a way to charge it, while the battery is inside the camera. Meaning you take the battery out, place it in the AC charger, plug up to wall outlet. It comes with a USB cable, that plugs directly to the camera, but it's for photo transfer only (will not charge over that usb cable).
Summary: I bought this as an upgrade to an earlier Fuji FinePix and can't add much to other reviewers. After some practice, the camera is easy to use and has loads of useful features. I like the simple HDR setting which does give some good results when used carefully. The auto pop-up flash is a bit of a pain but I got used to it pretty quickly. Zoom and image stabilisation work very well indeed. It's sleek, fits well in the hand and looks very smart. The rear screen is excellent.
The Fujifilm FinePix is an excellent digital camera

Excerpt: I purchased the Fujifilm brand digital camera 2 month's ago for my 3 day break to France and to capture scenery and landmarks. I was impressed with the quality of the images and filming. The Fujifilm FinePix F500EXR has a wide range of features, such as: 16-megapixel sensor which is versatile enough to cope in any conditions, optical zoom, motion panorama, LCD monitor, sensor, continuous shooting, high speed autofocus, super-intelligent flash technology.
Pros: High quality, waterproof case, well designed, many features
Summary: Was looking for a camera to take close up pictures of small items. The appearance of the casing is a little old fashioned but the quality of images is the best I have seen yet in a digital camera. It manages close ups very well and the instruction manual is actually pretty helpful. Connects to apple mac instantly without any problem.
Summary: My first digital camera that wasnt a Sony. The 15 x zoom has taken some great stills and videos of birds in the garden through the kitchen window. Only 4 stars as I don't know how durable it will prove and can't work out how to shoot video using the self timer. Overall a very sound camera that i would buy again. I hope it avoids the sudden death after 15 to 18 months use of most of my Sonys-good as they were.
Summary: I am very happy with the camera and have not learnt all the functions yet but have been getting some really good pictures. When taking film and a picture at the same time the recording is disrupted more than I expected but is a handy feature for a bit of fun. As footage taken is spoilt a little I would not use the take a picture opportunity if you are wanting to keep a film recording good.
Summary: The quality of the camera is excllent with a superb zoom facility and easy to use the only criticism is it is a little bulky but I guess that is down to the size of the zoom etc but none the less a good buy
