Summary: I have used the camera since early 2008 amd have found it dependable in most circumstances. The shots it takes are good (and sometimes very good - especially if you are a hobbyist (not pro) photographer. Pros: Takes decent photos in bright daylight. Nearly always dependable (even after heavy use for 6 years) Has flash suppress setting Macro works Can have a long record time using SD card. (4GB SD = 119mins) Compact and fits easily in pockets.
Summary: This little Fujifilm FinePix F480 Digital Camera is the perfect point and shoot for the person who really doesn't understand photography. If this camera had a better quality lens, you could get really professional photos. Set the camera up to high resolution and add the optional XD memory card (I have a 4GB), you will get some very exciting photos. I decided to purchase an extra battery after owning mine for three years.
Summary: How do i write a review about the item i bought, without being negative to the item i bought.I have already filed a complaint about the item. The item i bought was used, as there were already pictures taken from the camera. I would like to see this case solved asap.
Summary: While cheap, Fuji Finepix F480 has little to do with fine pictures, contrary to what its name seems to suggest. The only good thing about Fuji F480 is its price: I found this Japanese (but made in China) camera at Amazon for $134.06, with free delivery. That seemed great, considering the features: an 8MP digital camera with 4x zoom; a wide angle Fujinon lens (28mm-112mm); numerous settings, including picture stabilization, "Blur Reduction" and party (!
Summary: My fiancée uses this camera and hates it. I have been doing a lot of camera research because I'm giving her a new one for Christmas. I went with the Kodak M341. This Fujifilm camera takes horrible pics. They are always blurry and dark. I will post a review of the Kodak M341 after I give it to her for Christmas. I used some in the store and the Kodak always looked nice. The Fujifilm is an awful device.
Summary: I wanted a pocket sized camera with a "so called "wide angle" for a trip to Venice last year and bought this a bit impulsively. It has been sturdy and withstood cargo pant pockets, backpacks and all around rough treatment with no problems. It is a simple and easy to use camera with limited features/controls. The picture quality is Very good for the price and limited control options.
