Summary: I am extremely disappointed with my F40fd. I bought it via Amazon from PurelyGadgets, and it has spent more time with them than it has with me. The on/off switch failed after a few weeks and took months to repair.

Summary: This is a camera and manufacturer to avoid. Initially I was very pleased with it but desite keeping it in a case the coating on th ecamera body quickly started to wear off making it look shoody. After 6 months of light use the autofocus packed up and Fujifilm inist on £89 to repair it!!
Summary: This is my second Fuji Camera. I had a Fuji-F10 and a Fuji-F40 FD Both eventually failed with the same problem. Lines across the photo caused by failed CCD Sensors. Judging by the web this is a common problem with Fuji but not mentioned at all as a problem on the support websites.
Summary: I bought this second hand camera to replace a much loved F40d. It worked perfectly for two weeks. The power button stopped working. I recharged the battery but nothing happened. I took it to a camera shop who said the button was defective and to buy a new one as the repairs would cost at least £50.
Summary: I'm a keen diver and when I accidently flooded my old Sony Cybershot following an early morning start a few weeks back it was time to get a new camera. I was very happy with the old Cybershot but for the lack of a manual white balance, which is very useful for underwater photography.
Summary: Unter allen Umständen starkes Helligkeitsrauschen. Ob im Automatikmodus oder manuell mit diversen Variationen. Auch mit aktueller Firmware keine Verbesserung. Da hat meine alte Panasonic TZ 1 noch bessere Fotos gemacht.Und die war nur unter günstigster Belichtung gut.
Summary: Je n'ai jamais pu tester cet appareil acheté en août 2007 car 15 jours après il tombait en panne : décollement du bouton déclencheur sans raison apparente. Fuji dénonce la garantie au motif d'une mauvaise utilisation. Zéro pointé pour le service après vente. 250 euros jetés par la fenêtre.
