Summary: I bought this because I hoped it would be an upgrade from my favorite digital camera, the Fujifilm F30. Unfortunately, it is not better overall. The F30, which is out of production, developed something of a cult following in techno-nurd circles because it had the incredible sensitivity of ISO 3200 with low noise (speckle).
Summary: I have had my camera for a few years and it has served me quite well apart from lens problems. I keep getting lens control error at vital times in taking the shot!! I am now at the point where this happens nearly all the time. I use this camera when scuba diving, I have been advised by a camera shop to blow the lens with a can of spray air, this sometimes rectifies the problem.
Summary: i used the camera together with the fujifilm housing to take underwater pictures after 2years of use the zoom button started to fail if i where to buy again i would have gotten a canon instead
Summary: This little Pocket Rocket can produce outstanding photos, but alas not all the time. Fuji shold be reported to Trading Standards as it does not have manual control as it says in the Sales Literature. Its aperture and shutter settings are never consistently the same on consecutive shots. I cant understand why Fuji have devised such a consumer unfriendlly menu design. However, and despite the above, I like it a lot!
Pros: Picture quality in so called manual mode with white balance set to cloudyand 400ASA.
Summary: In outdoor, picture quality is good and also in low light, the picture quality is better than other similar price cameras. Compare with Fujifilm previous camera, this F100fd can support SD makes it better for storage card usage.
Summary: very very dissapointing. The lens perfomance at the wide angle setting gives results worse than a single use plastic lens - the complete inability to render a straight line as anything other than a barrel shape made me return this camera. I have used Fuji cameras for 20 years including the previous digital models - this is the worst. avoid it.
