Camera broken after only 10 days of moderate use. Never dropped.
9 February 2015
Summary: Camera lens is now stuck in extended position permanently. The screen reads "TURN OFF THE CAMERA AND TURN ON AGAIN"; however turning it off and on again does not correct the problem. The camera was only in use for 10 days. I've only owned it for 40, but the warranty does not extend past 30 days.
Summary: Have used the camera for awhile now...it takes excellent, sharp photos and video, and is easy to use. The memory card slips right into my Macbook Air, and editing is no problem. It's great cause it's so small, and has quite a few cool functions. At $90, you can't go wrong.

Summary: Review by Stan. In the bright sun its fine. Inside and for fast motion/ sports the lens is not fast enough at f3.3. Also, it does not take the picture when you press the button, there is a time lag, and a large time lag between pictures.
Now I see why cameras on phones are killing standalone cameras
3 July 2014
Summary: I got one of these recently and tried to set it up this afternoon. What an exercise! First, the Mac software is only for Power PC (the ten year old operating system for Macs) up through v.10.6--although I like most people are running 10.9 now, which doesn't recognize this old software.
Summary: Takes very good pictures but is difficult to program and does not include a way to return to default settings. I just bought this in January and now Fuji says the camera is obsolete - and because of that, they will no longer provide repair service for same.
