The ease of shooting on this is such that it has pretty much replaced all my oldies but goodies

Tinker, Amazon

  • Summary: Talk about moving into the 22nd century. A little extreme, you say. Well, I have a brownie box camera, a konica 2-1/4, a polaroid and a bunch of other cameras ... even a VHS camcorder. The ease of shooting on this is such that it has pretty much replaced all my oldies but goodies. I still save the Konica for special shots, but this is fast, easily editable, simple to print. Wow!

Basic compact, but does the job

  • Summary: The Fuji is a pretty simple affair as you expect at this price range. Build wise it's acceptable for a low cost camera, plastic body and controls seem to be durable enough to withstand day to day use. There isn't a lot to get excited about with models like this, it's all fairly simple and predictable, but I've certainly used worse compacts in the entry sector In the box you get 2x AA alkaline batteries USB cable Hand strap CD-ROM Owner's manual As expected a fairly...

  • Summary: I gave this to my husband for Father's Day. He has several other cameras but needed something light and portable. His photos have been terrific. He takes this with him inline skating and has taken beautiful city-scapes . Very pleased with my purchase.

Great compact camera, excellent value, many features yet ease of use

  • Summary: The finepix cameras are a great line of affordable, durable, and reliable digital cameras. Picture quality and ease of use is equal or superior to other brands. I prefer using cameras that take standard AA size batteries, I use rechargeable AA batteries always keeping an extra set charged, but still have the option of using standard alkaline. I now have five of these cameras of various generations/megapixels keeping one in the glovebox of each car.

Fuzzy images

  • Summary: No matter what settings I change or how steady my hands are these pictures barely look like they could be at the lowest resolution setting even when put to the highest quality. I'm at a loss at this point as to what else I might do that could improve this, but ultimately I think this camera is likely just terrible. It seems like my cell phone camera is better quality.

Fujifilm FinePix AX650

Cheryl Hastie, Amazon

  • Summary: My last camera was a Fuji 3800, I wanted something smaller, that still had zoom and movie. This works great for me. And the case I bought, Case Logic DCB-302 Compact Case for Camera, is a perfect fit for this camera. Downloading the pictures to my laptop is very easy as well. I haven't used all the features yet, but so far I really like this camera. I read a lot of reviews on other cameras before going with the Fuji again. It's a great camera for the price.

Battery Recommendations

Randall D., Amazon
15 May 2014
  • Summary: After putzing with many cameras over the years, my best advice is to use good batteries. Do not use regular cheap alkaline, do not use low-voltage wussy rechargeables, use Energizer Ultimate Lithiums. They work.

Pleasantly surprised by this inexpensive camera

Stephen Dupre, Amazon
10 May 2014
  • Summary: This camera replaced some Canon A490's that got old. Bought 2 for a trip. For the price, you can't beat this point and shoot. It allows for 3 different types of batteries (setting inside the camera), but seems to work best on the cheapo alkalines. Pros - AA Batteries. 2 sets lasted 600+ pictures using flash minimally and minimal video.
