let down

graham mosley, Amazon
22 February 2014
  • Summary: when it was working ok it did the trick but it went wrong . the lens would keep opening and closing of its own volition and the screen kept lighting up showing previously taken photos off its own back this of course soon runs the battery down. I gave up on it and bought a canon ixus 255 hs. This was a lot more costly but as the saying goes you get what you pay for.!

Sukie, Amazon

  • Summary: I like this camera it's easy to use, has suited my needs as an amateur photographer! You need to use good quality batteries as cheap ones don't last long! If you're not using camera for awhile, suggest that you take the batteries out as it still use's up battery life even when not being used!

A good solid and dependable item

Alastair, Amazon
27 May 2011
  • Summary: I bought this camera for a friend who breeds collie dogs, there are always new puppies around and she updates her website quite frequently. Ive` not had chance to speak to her since I sent this to her but spoke today, and she's got 400 images to download which gives you some idea how busy she is. This camera has been really good and is continuing to do a really good job and I know that this lady is critical so I have no hesitation in recommending it to other members.

Excelent for a cheap-ish camera. Geat picture quality

af124567, Amazon
27 January 2011
  • Summary: Bought this for my 12 year old daughter. The 3" screen is huge with great graphics. The camera is easy for anyone to use. The modes are good and the panorama setting is a real bonus. The picture quality is fab, as the camera is 14mp but you can choose to lower it down through several settings to 2 mp. The optical zoom (5x) is also good, silent but still great. You can choose to use digital zoom but the quality is bad.

camera

GXX, Amazon
12 January 2011
  • Summary: Disappointing for 5x zoom as this is a wide angle to start so zoom is poor. Same as another 3x zoom camera I have. However, pics are clear as long as you hold very still.

Good Camera

Christiane Kirst "chrissi1998", Amazon
11 January 2011
  • Summary: I think it is a good camera. It takes good pictures. The only thing that is a problem is the automatic opening of the lenses, which do not always work, unless the battery is full charge. In the past, I had to close and open it again and again to make it shut. This can be really annoying when you are on holiday walking around the countryside. However, it can take lovely pictures and video's.

Fujifilm AX280 score 6/10

Mike Rolite, Amazon
29 December 2010
  • Summary: I bought this camera to replace my Fuji F610 which I was very pleased with but it used NP40 lithium batteries which tended to fail after a short time, and a few pixels had failed in the CCD chip which left marks on the photos. This camera uses software to change the modes rather than a selector switch which I find annoying especially as the manual comes on a CD. It would be much better as a printed copy.
