Fujifilm Finepix AV250: The camera that changed my mind about point and shoots
6 June 2013
Summary: I was given the Fujifilm Finepix AV250 upon the unfortunate breakage of my previous camera, a General Electric point and shoot. For some years, I'd yearned for a "proper camera", but this camera has showed me that you can achieve quality photography with a humble point and shoot. =Introduction= The Fujifilm Finepix AV250 is a little silver camera - also available in a shiny black - fronted by a 3x zoom lens, a flash bulb, and simple "Fujifilm" branding.
Pros: Crisp, high-resolution photographs, low price, good motion sensing
Cons: Internal memory sometimes faulty, no lanyard included
Summary: Easy to use. Very good picture quality, comparable to a DSLR in daylight photographs and a definite step-up from the 10MP Fujis. Quite good pictures in darker rooms too. Definitely not budget quality pictures. Value for money. Robust shell. Quick flash. Good battery life. Lots of functions, some useful some not. Suitable for children and adults too.
Summary: Bought this for my partner, so she has her own and she loves it. Easy to use and review photos, it quite robusk as it's be to some seirous conditions and kept safe it works well. The battery life is good and the camera is a good size for just taking snaps with easy use.

This camera is one that is used by the whole family for day trips out when the bigger camera's aren't convenient to take.
Pros: Does what you would expect
Cons: lacks excitement for the more experienced photographer
Summary: Really you can't whinge for the price(£40). Do not confuse the basic info provided with the user manual on CD or web. I downloaded the manual from the website and found it easy to understand. Register for the warranty too. Read the instructions and all will be well. Good pics for compact and movies - a huge improvement on my last camera (7.5mp) Get a SD card,a reasonable size one for movies.
