Great camera that has held up over the years! Great value for the $!
19 April 2013
Summary: I bought this camera when I graduated college for my trip to Europe. Was amazed by the picture quality and features, and it held up great to 3 weeks backpacking! It's been 10 years, and it's still a great camera! I paid $900 for it back then. It is a bit bigger than today's tiny dig cameras, but the display screen is a nice size!
Excerpt: Had this camera about 3 years and no real complaints. it takes good pictures and has proved reliable. In it's time it probably led the way with it's revolutionary use of pixels (i think they're 6 sided instead of 4?) It has a wealth of manual features, macro, white balance etc. It can add voice tags to photo's which can be useful. It can be used as a web cam and it claims a video camera but as with most cameras it's pretty poor quality.
Excerpt: This camera I bought around three years ago from my local Dixons store. It is a 3 megapixel camera, but interprelates the picture to a bigger 6 megapixel size, (Not a 'true' size, but certainly does help). This camera may not compare to some of the newer, small feature rich cameras, but still definately worth a look in. I use a decent Canon Digital SLR now, but this was a fantastic first camera that has enoughadvanced features for the novice to soon learn.
Excerpt: This is a brilliant camera. Mine is a couple of years old and I suspect Fuji have newer offerings by now. I bought it when I had a disaster at a wedding and all the film came out of my old SLR! I've never regretted that decision because this camera (and this applies to the models that will surely follow it) is portable without sacrificing quality.
Excerpt: INTRODUCTION I bought my Finepix 6800 camera almost two years ago. Prior to that I just had a Kodak DC10, which I won in a Competition. I’m not really a photographer, but I needed to update to a more sophisticated digital camera for some website designing that I was doing. THE CHALLENGE Therefore I had a challenge, to fine a good quality camera that was capable of taking high resolutions photos, but was also easy to use.
Pros: High Quaility Photos, Many Advanced Features and still very easy to use
Cons: Lacking some top end stuff that professionals might use by all in all its a good all round camera that can't be faulted
Excerpt: I couldn't ask for more with Fuji Finepix 6800. Absolutely an ALL-IN-ONE digital camera! I've been looking for a digital camera that would give me quality results in both day and night times, as well as I can use as a webcam, at a right price. I've read through many reviews also to help me decide. And I did really was glad to finally discover this product. I just wondered why Fuji discontinued manufacturing this product.
Pros: Optimum quality outputs (picture, sound), elegant, handy, at right price
Excerpt: The Fuji FinePix 6800 zoom is a brilliant camera. Compact enough to take anywhere, it still manages to deliver hgh quality pictures and great features. It does take a little time to explore all the features, but this is well worth doing as it enables you to improve your photographs with, for example, manual focussing for close up shots and an easy to set self timer. The most ovious advantage to this camera is its multi functionality.
Excerpt: Bought the camera from Tenerife in 2001. Have had 18 months of use and only just has it packed up! Its gone back to Fuji after emailing them a sample photo. I'm waiting for the bill. However, having read all the reports back in 2000, i bought the camera from abroad as it was 30% cheaper than in the UK. It has to be said, the camera is good. Yes, the new models are geting smaller, but this is packed with features that you are not likely to use on an everyday basis.
Excerpt: I love taking photographs, as you may have already realised. I started with a Kodak Disc camera when I was little, and soon progressed to Zenit 35MM, later replaced with a Cosina after it was stolen. When digital was within my reach, I bought my Fuji 4700, this camera was superb, and also looked really cool. People actually looked at me (well the camera perhaps) when I took it out!
Pros: Picture quality, look, easy of use, features
