Fuji finepix 40i..Style in your pocket

liverpool..., Ciao
19 April 2003
  • Excerpt: When I first had this camera I said,is this real or what?It was a 3megapixels camera with MP3 and movie clips.just too hard to believe.Well I owned one of these for quite a while and I must say it's pretty good apart from one slight drawback:there is no optical zoom, that is your image is magnified and not pocussed onto, the disadvantage of this is,the image zoomed onto is distorted... But this camera is more than just that...
  • Pros: small,slim,sexy cool,superb quality,record movies
  • Cons: No optical zoom

Fugenius... Fuji plus Genius

  • Excerpt: I managed to snap this puppy up for a cool three hundred pounds when they released the newer version the 50i. What a bargain. No need to read the manual. It is quite intuative! Camera .... 2.4 mega pixels and doubled with enhancement. Digital zoom, 2 inch LCD display. With 128 card you can have around 350 (approx) pictures on lowest resolution or about 60 on highest. Pictures come out superb even on the lowest setting. MP3 player is superb. Sounds great.
  • Pros: Does everything apart from wash up and make the tea
  • Cons: Doesnt make the tea !  !  !

Small yet Powerful

  • Excerpt: I bought this camera after having already tried the Fuji Finepix 30i, which is one model lower than this. When you see the additional features that you pay for in the 40i, it is worth every penny. Unlike the 30i, you get 2.4 mega pixels, Audio/Video output, remote control headphones, longer recording in movie mode and automatic lens cover.
  • Pros: Nice size, one handed operation possible
  • Cons: No optical zoom

  • Excerpt: My dad and I went looking for a digital camera for my mum to take to china. We wanted something really simple. We decided on a digital camera as there is no film to change as we baught a 128mb card with it. This particular camera caught our attention because of all of its features! It has a video camera, a digital camera and an MP3 player all in one. So we could load MP3s for the plane, and then delete them when we needed the space for photos.
  • Pros: Simple, many features, lots of software included
  • Cons: £££ and no wall adapter

So easy

  • Excerpt: I bought this camera recently, and was a bit daunted as I have never used one before. I have been impressed at how good the instructions were. The quality is absolutely excellent, although at the highest resolution you don't get many pics on the 8mb smart card. When you want to download what you have taken, just plug in to your pc, and the pc will do the work for you. It really is that easy.
  • Pros: Ease of use, quite simple to understand
  • Cons: large instruction book, hard at first, but gerts easier when you know what to look for

Great Camera

  • Excerpt: I searched for a long time before deciding which digital camera to buy and after checking opinions like ciao and reading the fineprint I purchased the Fujifilm Finepix 40i. I've been extremely impressed with the camera, being a layman I didn't know exactly what was important but realised that there were very few cameras with the specifacations that this one has for the money.
  • Pros: Small (fits in your pocket with ease) easy to use, takes great pictures and plays mp3's !
  • Cons: I can't really think of any but it would be useful if I could find some photo - editing software that I could link to the camera direct .

Sexy Little Snapper

  • Excerpt: When you are paying out the sort of money the makers of digital cameras are asking for, then you expect to find yourself sat with a pretty darn good piece of equipment after the exchange. With this, the FinePix 40i, Fuji fulfill that expectation admirably. This little baby does virtually everything but make coffee and sweep up after itself!

  • Excerpt: The fuji pinepix 40i is a pretty good camera except that it is not equipped with optical zoom and not using Lithium Ion batteries. Effective range is also limited, from 0.4 to 2.5m only. It has no manual white balance feature. And you need to buy smartmedia card with IDs to record and play MP3 songs. The lens is limited to 36mm on 35mm camera unlike lens with optical zoom which can go up to 114mm on 35mm camera.
  • Pros: mp3 player, video images recording
  • Cons: no optical zoom, poor lens focuse

  • Excerpt: This is the best digital camera around. It offers an amazing 4.3 megapixel resolution. It weighs a mere 210 grams including the battery so you can take it anywhere you want. You connect it to your PC via USB. If you think this is about as good as it gets you're very wrong. It is also an MP3 player so you can listen to music while on the move with no jumping tracks and digital sound. If you want to be fussy with detail of colour etc.
  • Pros: Extremely good pics
  • Cons: A lot of money
