Summary: My Kodak camera (about the same price around $60) had a slow shutter and the battery latch had broken, so bought this Fujifilm camera, it's got the same latch design, so expect the plastic on the hinge to break in a couple years also. Took 700 photos on trip to Alaska and they were all good....still learning the camera, but so far it's good. Couldn't load a photo to this review, tried twice and have given up.
Summary: Advantages: (1) I got rid of my last camera because it used a specialty (expensive!) battery and this one uses regular batteries. (2) lightweight (3) comes with a paper manual plus a pdf manual on the cd (4) pretty easy to change settings Haven't had it long, but so far, I love this camera!!!
Summary: I bought the refurbished camera of this, because it was marked down in price a lot. I kept my fingers crossed and expected the worst, knowing that amazon would take it back if there were problems. There weren't. I don't know what they did to "refurbish" this camera, but it's like new. Maybe they even put in a new LCD screen cuz there wasn't a scratch or fingerprint anywhere. It works perfectly.
Summary: Have only used it for a short time but takes great pictures and is easy to use. Haven't used it enough to make a judgement about battery life, which has been the complain of some, but I did purchase some good quality AA re-chargables. The Wal-Mart bundle price which included the 8 GB SDHC memory card was $6 less than the camera alone!
