The A610 has a lot of technology behind it, but how do the results match up? A 6MP sensor and 3x optical zoom are fairly standard for this entry-level class of compacts and its limited ISO range of 100-400 results in the flash beng used more often in low-light conditions. That said, the flash settings offer a slow-sync mode, which will improve the balance between the available light and the flash in night time photography. Read more

E very digicam manufacturer is thriving on newer technologies, a result of competition in the market. What distresses me is that most often it's just a bit of tweaking of the existing product. Customers will obviously be smitten by the thought of carrying a cam that boasts Real Photo technology or the anti-reflective screen. How about a budget camera that clicks good snaps? The FinePix A610 by Fujifilm is a camera that advocates the same philosophy. Read more

I liked this digital camera enough, that when I wore out my old one after 3-4 years of use, I bought another one. Camera has wonderful image quality for a 6.3 MP, and is easy to operate and upload images to your computer. Had the camera 4 years, and used it constantly, mostly in outdoor settings, before the LCD became cracked. Was dropped down a hill full of boulders and still kept working, LCD was probably cracked from getting it wet on a different occasion. Read more

This Camera would have gotten a 5 were it not for the above issue with the included SD card. I am throwing the freebie card in the garbage. In fairness to Fuji, though, they recommended Sandisk SD cards. I have a Transcend SD 2gig 150x in the camera now and have had no issues with it, and it is faster than my XD M cards that I already owned. Read more

    • Excellent for a point and shoot. You can't beat the price although I see it has increased slightly from when I purchased. This Camera is replacing an older Fuji, so I ...
    • Be carefull using cheap SD cards. The Crucial SD card that was included will give you an intermittent card error. I lost several pics from my daughter's dance recital....

Love the camera except the video camera option only records about 2 seconds, maybe it needs a bigger memory card than was included, otherwise love the camera. Read more
