  • Conclusion: Here's my rating of the Epson PhotoPC 3000Z: (3 megapixel class) Epson, not known for their photographic background have produced an excellent digital camera, for those looking for an alternative to the normal 3 megapixel digital cameras won't have to look much further than the PhotoPC 3000Z. Good image quality only let down by slightly pale colours puts Epson up there as a serious digital camera manufacturer... So which one should I buy?
  • Pros: Great image quality, very little chromatic aberrations, Good range of beginner through to "prosumer" features, Useful program modes, Finer exposure compensation adjustment (0.2 EV), Strong build quality despite its plastic case, Huge range of shutter speed and apertures for manual mode, Useful manual features: Aperture Priority and Full Manual Mode, Good performance at higher sensitivities, Manual White Balance, Low AF Lag, fairly fast operation (once you've got it po...
  • Cons: Manual focus limited by five positions, Dull / "Pale" colours, No support for Compact Flash Type II (why?), Softer images than the competition, User interface may seem confusing at first, Long power on times compared to the competition, Still some red channel noise in blue skies, No White Balance presets
