Summary: It does turn back on even if goes to standby. Just press the camera or video button to bring the camera out of battery saving standby mode. I have one of these and dive with it a lot. In my opinion, it is an awesome, inexpensive camera.
Summary: For me, there was 1 major flaw with the product, and that is its shielding from electrical interference. There isn't enough. When using this in a car I got alternator whine and static through the microphone, making the video unusable. The video also has moments of white flashes which I believe is it either switching ISO mode / aperture, or some form of other electrical interference.
Summary: Sorry to be dismissive and I'm clearly NOT the target audience for this camera, but then I quite wondered who was - given the fiddly, teensy tinesy control buttons. This is geared for extreme sportsters, wanting to video others slaloming, skiing, bunji jumping - or indeed to strap to oneself as one parachuted from on high.
Summary: First I will admit, I got this thinking it was an underwater camera. Ok bit stop thinking a waterproof action camera meant you could use this in the pool or on the beach but I was pleasantly surprised what I could use this for. its a clever action cam which you can attach to your bike, helmet when sking or stakeboarding or just on a tripod. I ised it on my bike and it was easy to use and eay to download. Now the flaws.
Summary: This is a staggeringly tiny and light camera. It is designed to take good quality pictures on the move. It works well, although I was surprised that for the underwater photos it requires a large, air-filled case, which isn't the easiest to handle. The camera is very easy to use and to upload the photos, the large lens captures a lot of light - I would recommend this camera.
