EX-Z1000

Brian C. Munch, Amazon
30 July 2008
  • Summary: This was a fine camera, purchased by my daughter and her husband for my birthday. I absentmindedly left it at an ATM in Prague, and it was gone when I returned to try to recover it a few minutes later.

Excelent camera for everyday use.

Dan the Man, PhotoAlley.com
12 August 2007
  • Summary: I've had this camera for a little over a year and tried replacing it with another model of Casio Exslim and it does not compare. I've dropped it many many times and only ever lost one screw. It is the best camera for me.
  • Pros: Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, Easy to Keep Clean, Long Battery life, Short Lag Time, Strong Construction

User Review

Cory W., Newegg
23 July 2007
  • Summary: It was a great investment. I have dropped it a few times on accident, and had no problems. If you want a really good camera, with high def. You have found it!!!
  • Pros: This camera is great. It's easy to us, and understand. I didn't have to read the instruction guide. It has options to get the best of almost every pic you can take. Every ,ode is explained on the camera as well, before you use that mode. Recordind is just as simple. The camera has options so you ...
  • Cons: To get the most of the camera, I suggest a bigger memory disk. I would at least go with a 2gig. You have to remember, the higher the megapix the more space it needs.

No red eye

Terrel K., Newegg
10 July 2007
  • Summary: To the previous poster who said red eye is predominant in most pictures, I suggest using the Red Eye flash mode. This will eliminate the red eye. Red eye is not caused by camera quality.
  • Pros: Big bright LCD. Easy to use, although the manual could be more than a page or two. Lightweight and small making it easy to carry. Good battery life. Well built (feels solid).
  • Cons: Poor manual. Also, unfortunately it's beneficial small size can present a problem with selecting small function buttons. You can't have it both ways; only a touch screen could solve that.

Works GREAT .. wish the flash would reload faster.

Hector-C "Hector", Amazon
27 May 2007
  • Summary: All cameras I've bought (started at 2MP, 5MP, 7MP, 8MP now 10MP) ... have a similar flaw to them from all manufacturers: Sony, Konica, HP, Canon and Casio ... they all recharge the flash too slowly. This one is actually the fastest, but can't get it faster than 1.3 seconds...well, that's life.

Donald H., Newegg
11 May 2007
  • Summary: Awesome camera for every day users, would not reccomend for prfessional use but if you are just planning on taking it on vacation or taking it to family events then i would not look any further, buy this camera
  • Pros: Very Small, lightweight, decent zoom, rechargeable battery, GREAT price, huge screen, nice docking station, extremely portable, easy to use, 10.1 Mega Pixels
  • Cons: Blurry when zoomed in but it is clear after the picture is taken, cannot switch from jpeg to TIFF on the camera, cannot shoot in raw, u have to use the dock to transfer pictures so it is kind of a pain for laptop users but i have it set up on my desktop as a shared disk on the network so its no b...

  • Summary: GOOD BUY!
  • Pros: Nice screen, HQ video, able to zoom while in video, 10.1MP, quality camera for under $300. Thin and fits comfortably in pocket, yet easy to hold.
  • Cons: Picture gets blurry when zoom, but after the snapshot it comes out very nicely.
