Summary: Was a decent camera. For the price, I recommend and Canon, Sony, or a Nikon. Casio Z1000 was very fast but the color was a bit distorted. My Z100 lasted one deployment in Iraq, and that was it. Not recommend it.
Summary: Bought this camera for my daughter. My sister had a Casio but the 5 mp and the 10mp is truly a better quality picture. My daughter carrys it with you at all times. The picture quality and zoom is great.
Summary: Short & sweet: the camera takes BEAUTIFUL outdoor pictures (or any in-door photos not requiring a flash), but once you get into an indoor photo-situation, the flash seemed to be poor, the colors not true, and a LOT of digital noise in low-light situations.
Excerpt: Hi I have just got this camera. Previously I have used Sony and Nikon ones. The camera is very simple to use and is rich in features. Overall i am not satisfied with the camera as it had 2 issues mentioned below. I will update with the respose i receive from the service station. Problems: 1.
Summary: Overall a good camera for users who want an easy to use point and shoot digital camera with a large LCD screen. The video quality could be better though because it only records at 25 frames per second.
Summary: at 10 mp, 1 out of 10 pictures will turn out decent. The picture quality is great if printing 4x6, but if viewing at native resolution or trying to print a 16x20 then you will not be impressed by the amount of noise found.
Excerpt: A very well build camera, body is made of pure STAINLESS STEEL....Luxury pure!!! Bright and big display with 230K pixel in widescreen format ;-) Verry responsive camera, good and fast AF, good overall performance. Picture quality is so-so..
Excerpt: Some great pics, some not Problems: I wanted to get something other than a Canon but z1000 gives inconsistent results, which I find frustrating. Most people would be thrilled with this camera, for a camera to just turn on and not fuss with most of the pictures are really good.
Excerpt: I like the design and construction of the camera very much. However, image quality was disappointing. Most pictures were fuzzy as well as the LCD display. Unless pictures were taken in bright daylight there was lot's of noise. Finally I returned the Z1000.
Summary: Casio, which has made a series of extremely good Exilim series cameras, has made some odd tradeoffs with this one just to get to 10MP. While the resolution goes from 8MP on the EX-Z850 to 10MP with this one, the movie mode does not get any better (VGA) and both the photos and movies suddenly take up...
