Summary: It appears to be a good camera. I had wanted a type of HDR feature on a compact. However, watch who you buy from; preferably from a dealer in the western hemisphere. I bought one from a dealer in Japan, and Japanese was the only language I could bring up from it. NO other language at all!! I was then pleased to find an HDR feature in a camera that I had already had: the compact Panasonic Lumix 20. And takes fantastic HDRs--as good as with my dSLR.
Summary: Casio should have had the fast speed video market locked up. They offered a great product at an amazingly low price, but I guess it's nominal still photo capability outweighed its high frame rate video features.
Summary: I was surprised that this little baby would take pics at 1000 FPS. WOW the things you can do with that. The 240 FPS is not so pixelated that it appears out of focus. I've taken pictures of hummingbirds at 480fps with superb results. I've had it now for 2 years and have not had any difficulty. Dealer was very responsive and I received this with what seemed expedited delivery time.
Summary: I've had this camera for a couple of years or so now, and I'm just getting around to writing a review on it. I've bought, sold, and kept a number of cameras over the past four years almost, and this is really the only camera I have had that I am definitely not letting go of. The reason is because it has such unique high speed options.
Summary: Casio is not very popular any more as a camera but I like their design, layout, speed for on and off (which I take hundreds of photos a week so I need quick on and off). As time goes by I will probably have to convert to another manufacturer but as long as Casio keeps making a good camera I will be buying them.
Summary: I read about this camera before purchasing & liked the features. When it came, the camera was ONLY in Japanese, no other language including English. I looked back at the page I purchased it from, and virtually all were shipped from Japan. The manual was in Japanese only & downloaded the English version which was of no help, but it did say if it was shipped from Japan, it may only be in Japanese, as it is. Now the haggling starts.
Summary: Camera works great EXCEPT there is no shutter speed on the video so, it has 240 fps, but without the shutter speed, filmimg golf swings is not clear. Sad they left that out on the video. The camera has the shutter speed on the camera picture taking but not on the video capture.
