Summary: Bought this casio model to replace slightly larger & older casio which no longer works (I dropped it). Large viewfinder and ease of use are the reasons I bought this model. I am happy with it so far. Casio EX-Z33PK 10.1MP is a bit small for me with tiny buttons (and I have fairly small hands), but viewfinder is very large, which I wanted, and capacity is extraordinary (to me--previous Casio would fill up or run out of battery power fairly quickly)....
Excerpt: For a budget-friendly ultracompact, the Casio Exilim EX-Z33 is less compromising than other cameras in its class. For example, despite being primarily an automatic camera, there is more control over results than you typically get in a $100 model. Also, although its movie mode maxes out at a 640x480-pixel resolution, it has a one-touch button for quickly starting and stopping recording.
I love my pink Casio camera because it is a great value!

Excerpt: I love my Casio Exilm XZ-33. I picked it out because I loved the hot pink color and super compact size. I was looking for a camera that I could easily put in my pocket and this was the winner. It also has 10.1 megapixles, which is good and a 3x optical zoom. It also has youtube function mode along with function modes for everything including: fireworks, ebay, protrait, sunset, landscape, jewelry, pets, night time shots, and many many more.
Excerpt: I got the Casio Exilim Z33 for Christmas and I love it. I was a little nervous at first because it's so tiny; I have a habit of breaking things that are small. Once I started to use it I became more comfortable and fell in love with it. The pictures come out so clear and crisp. It has a face detection setting and red eye reduction which I love. It's really easy to use and has an easy setting for people who aren't sure how to set it up.
Summary: I had almost a year of taking fairly good photos with this camera. After a while, though, with no obvious triggering event - it started taking worse and worse quality pictures. It started with a noticeable deterioration in indoor photo quality - grainy and blurry - to the extent that I do not even bother taking photos indoor anymore. Then the lens retraction stopped working properly (it gets stuck halfway through the retraction, and I have to physically push it back in).
