This camera also comes with an “Auto Tracking AF” function that follows moving subjects, to keep them continuously in focus; thus preventing blurring of pictures. Just by sliding back the lens’ cover the Casio Exilim EX-V7 is turned on. The 7x optical zoom easily can cover a range equivalent to 38mm to 266mm. Looking deeply, you’ll discover that the lens include a sensor shift image stabilization to help minimize blurry pictures with that long lens. Being very compact the Casio Exilim EX-V7 conveniently fits into a jeans pocket. Even though it may be the world’s slimmest digital camera, not many users are satisfied with its performance. According to one user the image quality is not that perfect, saying that it produces images with good color and white-balance but the images are soft with blurry corners and show distortions. The Casio Exilim EX-V7 takes 1.47 seconds to start up and capture its first JPEG, and takes 1.63 seconds between shots with the flash turned off and 1.76 seconds with the flash enabled. This model has 33 scene modes, including specific modes for shooting text, whiteboards, and business cards, as well as one mode made specifically for eBay. This made another user’s delight as the V7 includes aperture- and shutter-priority exposure modes, along with full manual. The live histogram in capture mode makes manual exposures easier to calculate. However another user found that that the Casio Exilim EX-V7 has too many confusing buttons and did not provide quick access to essential functions, such as ISO, white balance, and macro mode. While some were impressed with this model others found it hard to recommend this camera.
