Summary: I had this camera for 2 months. While my kids were swimming one day, I was wading in the water. My camera was in my pocket. My pants and the camera got wet. The camera never worked again. Ripoff. I contacted the manufacturer and they basically told me tough titty. I own muldiple G watches and one of their tough phones. Would suggest buying a different camera.
Summary: I bought this phone because my husband got deployed to Iraq and he wanted a camera. So this camera seemed perfect because it was shock, freeze, and water proof, or so we thought. When he got home we went to the beach and he dipped the camera in the water (not even 6 in. in the water) the camera spazed out and now it wont turn back on. A complete waste of money.
Summary: I used this camera for about one year, it says it can go under the water, 3 meters, but I took it for about 1 and half and all the water went inside the camera, the battery of course is totally damaged. I was in the beach so it has salty water inside, of course warranty won't apply, there is no way to prove it was only 1 meter and a half. If you plan to buy this camera to get it into the water, then don't do it!
Summary: Had this camera for 12 months, always took pinkish pictures but changing the settings was a work around. but very slow to process each shot. 4 days out of warranty the camera stopped taking pictures, never been in water. Buy yourself an Olympus We have two and they work perfectly, even under water. Also after many letters to Casio I can have it repaired for 180.00. NO MORE CASIO PRODUCTS FOR US.
Summary: I'm very disappointed with this camera. Although the quality of the pictures is good, the camera broke at the first time that a get in the water. I was concerning, so I took every precaution before I get in the water, such as double check if all the compartments were closed and also with the depth (3 meters). I could took seven pictures only, and then, the water got in the camera.
Summary: Bought this camera hoping it will be waterproof as Olympus 1030SW, but when first time came with this camera into lake, it stops working in 2 minutes. NEVER, NEVER buy this camera, if you attending put it somewhere closer than 5 m to any water surface. It is absolutely UNwaterproof, made bad unsharp images, very weak flash - only 1-2 meters, no wide focus, low picture quality, long time while on. THIS IS NOT WATERPROOF CAMERA!!!!
Summary: piece of crap in water. I went snorkeling with it and water leaked in the card reader opener in less the 10 minutes. I will never by casio products again. Unfortunately i lost the receipt so i cant return it but based on reviews i wouldn't have gotten a replacement anyway because warranty doesnt replace in the event of water damage regardless if its a defect or not. There is no gasket to keep water out. DO NOT BUY!!!! NOT WATERPROOF!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Summary: I too purchased this camera only to have it leak water into the SD card compartment. Common ending that Casio gives. If it water gets into this camera its not Casio's fault, it is your fault and you get to buy another camera. Anyone shopping for a rugged, waterproof camera. Save yourself the grief that many of us have already experienced. Search the Web for reviews on this camera and you will see I'm telling the truth about this camera.
Summary: I got this camera in May 2010, and really loved it. Had fun little shooting features, and was a great size. I had been looking foward to bringing it on vacation instead of my SLR and was very excited to be able to bring it in the water with me. I thought the photos it took looked very crisp and I was very happy with the photo quality. So it came with me to Mexico and and failed to make it home in working order...
Summary: All good until I took it in the water. Died after about 6 shots! Returned the next day. If you want a cool looking rugged camera for everyday use, buy it. Just don't submerge in water. I can't believe a huge company as Casio advertises this piece of crap as fully submersable and able to take underwater photos.Check the reviews- in every review dealing w/ the underwater capabilities, this camera fails!! WTF, Casio!
