CASIO make another camera with these high speed capabilities
2 June 2014
Summary: This camera has been fantastic to me for half a decade now, never failing or faltering. It does tend to drink up the batteries, but the value of this camera is enormous. High speed shooting with this camera is amazing, Casio, you beautiful bastards, please make more, affordable, excellent high speed cameras. Yeah they have point and shoots that still do it, but who cares? We want DSLR's and Bridge cameras like this which offer it.
Summary: This is a fantastic camera. Not only does it do general photography really well, the reach of the lens is huge, ranging from a very wide angle to a usable 520mm. It really comes into it's own when using the burst facility, enabling you to capture images that happened up to 3/4 of a second BEFORE you press the shutter button! Sounds unbelievable but it is true. The burst facility will only record one seconds worth of images, not 40 fps for x seconds.
Excellent camera. I am totally pleased with this purchse.

Summary: I lost a Kodak Z981 camera and therefore decided to purchase this camera. It has the same features as the Kodak camera plus it has much better high speed (frames per second) recording capability plus a slow motion play back feature that I am really pleased with.
Summary: i was looking for a highspeed camera to take shots of kids playing baseball, light weight, it eats batteries fast, has cheap plastic components after looking at a friends i bought the wrong camera, should have spent a couple hundred more.
Summary: This camera takes amazing pictures LIGHT pictures. Do NOT purchase this camera if your doing videos. Why? Only because you can't even pick up audio! There is not even a audio jack to hook a microphone in. This camera sucks at pictures inside a household. Anything else-- Great. I bought this camera for video, and I am extremely disappointed. The high-speed is awesome, but, you only use it so often. Plus, no audio, once again.
An amazing camera for shooting high-speed movies, worth the money.

Summary: An excellent camera with some amazing features. Being my first DSLR, I was very impressed. The camera's high-speed function is incredible, especially at 210 fps, where the video quality is still good. At 420 fps and 1000 fps, the quality drops quite a lot, but its still fun to use. The 20x optical zoom isn't the best (meaning you have to get pretty close to your subject, particularly if you're filming birds) but its the best there is for a high-speed consumer camera.
Summary: This camera takes great pictures and is fabulous for video, especially sports video. I've had mine for over a year now, long enough for the purchase warranty to expire, and the lens view finder turned black as I was taking taking pictures. The camera wasn't dropped, this just happened with no warning or explanation. Local camera repair shops told me Casio doesn't release parts to them so they can't fix the camera.
