Summary: This camera is all I expected and more. It is ruggedly built, has a good optical zoom range, is light weight and fairly small, has a large display screen and a host of features that I haven't seen on any other camera. For the price, it's a bargain.
Summary: Actually, I would give it 4.5 stars if it were possible. A little background for potential buyers of this camera. In about 2008, Casio came out with a camera called the Exilim-F1. It looked like a DSLR and had the electronic guts of a race car. It took 60 frames a second and did slo-motion video at rates and resolutions that crushed the competition.
Excellent all-around camera for point and shoot photography which also allows more serious usage as well.

Summary: I've been searching for a new camera to replace my Fujifilm F800 EXR that started having focusing problems and after having looked at a wide range of cameras, finally settled on this one. There were more than a few contenders that I almost purchased, but changed course on for one reason or another. The various features I've been interested in include: *Very compact, enough so that I can wear it on my belt every day.
