Summary: My experience is very similar to a previous poster. I bought this particular camera because it is very slim and portable and has a nice crisp view. But in less than a year it just quit working. I thought it must be the battery and wasted $40 buying a new one, just to find that the new battery didn't help the situation. I don't believe I'll waste any more money on it. I'll just go back to my old Sony camera, which is the brand I should have bought in the first place.
Don't waste money on a warantee the company won't honor

Summary: I had this camera for 8 months and loved it. Then one day it stopped working. I put it on the charger and nothing...I took it to a camera store thinking that it was the battery but a new battery that worked in other store cameras didn't work in my camera. It was under warantee so I sent it into Casio. They claim that there is some crack on the frame of the camera which voids the warantee.
Summary: I'll make it quick: Pros: Slick, good looking camera, easy to carry, durable, love the LCD, battery life is ok. Cons: here we go... -Charger is a huge cradle that is a pain to carry around -Videos are OK in sun light, TERRIBLE at night, and the microphone is useless -Video format does NOT WORK with iMovie 08, so if you have a Mac, do not get this camera! -Picture quality is not good using Auto mode, one must play around with settings to get a decent shot.
Get an Extended Warranty or you might as well throw it away

Summary: I bought my camera in July 2007 and LOVED it...awesome photos, simple to use, fast shutter speed, etc. I am a trained photographer but wanted a small camera to take with me on trips and to parties, etc., and the size and price was fantastic...SOLD! For once, I did not get an extended warranty, and that was my biggest mistake.
Blurry Pictures, Anti shake not great! Go with another brand!

Summary: I purchased a casio camera based on reviews, and I loved the You Tube feature. When I got it, I liked the looks of it, but was a little disappointed after looking through the menus. It is a little slow to try to get pictures if you are in a rush, and by the time you get the settings right, you miss the shot. I like taking Youtube footage at work, since I live in a tourist town, I can get some interesting footage. My old camera took better video footage.
Summary: I started out thinking this camera was amazing because it was so thin, but after some use I realized it's an honestly bad quality camera. It's design is pretty attractive, not on the level of say a Cyber-SHot T Series, but it looks good. The lens is quite large for only 3x optical zoom and takes up a little less than half of the front of the camera. It's very thin and has a large 2.8 inch LCD which takes up about 3/4's of the back.

Summary: I really want to like this camera but unfortunantly I don't. Yes the video is good but the pictures could be a lot better. Here are pros and cons of image quality: PRO - Video is prob the best you will get on a pocket camera like this. It takes SUPERB pictures in medium light and flash pictures. CON - Atrocious pictures in daylight or bright light situations.
Summary: I bought this camera based on the reviews on the Best Buy site. I believe that Best Buy filters the comments about these cameras. It is everything that they say about it being "cool", like the size and features. I tend to buy a camera for taking pictures rather than downloading video to youtube. The still photos were very disapointing. They were grainy for the most part. The ones that weren't grainy were blurry.
