Best point-and-shoot digital camera
11 June 2015
Summary: This camera is absolutely amazing. For just a digital point-and shoot digital camera, I was very impressed. The picture quality is wonderful, and very crisp. The many effects are fun to play with, and the creative shot can offer some pleasant suprises.
Summary: I've mostly owned Canon cameras and I've always been happy with them. This cameras menu system is much the same as the ELPH 100 HS I've owned before so it was pretty easy for me to navigate through it.
Pros: Very nice camera with a big LCD screen and the full HD is really nice to have. Looks really nice too and has a really long zoom. Picture quality is great in well lit environments.
Cons: A little on the heavy side but it's not much of an issue really. Not the best in low light situations. Also with the flash you can't seem to set it to pop up automatically even in auto mode which I find strange, but probably not a big deal if you never use it much. Another thing is it is mostly a...
Summary: I started with a similarly-specced camera of a different, but highly respected, brand. That one was very disappointing, with a clumsy control system and a screen that shut off while taking movies. I sent it back and got this one, which is much better.
Pros: I've taken this camera on several trips over the past year or so, and I've been very pleased with its ease of use and image quality. The optical zoom is amazing (so much that I really can't shoot at full zoom without a tripod or something to steady the camera), and the camera is so good in low li...
Cons: no GPS. Lots of functions I don't know how to use. When I first got it, the lens cover didn't always open all the way, leaving a shadow in the corner of a picture. The problem seems to have resolved itself.
Summary: I like point and shoots and this one gives me a clear picture, high res, and a minimum amount of controls to fool with. You can also record high res video. You can transfer to your computer with a micro USB or wireless after a simple setup. Comes with a rechargeable battery instead of AAA batteries.
Fun point n shoot camera! Just what I was looking for.

Summary: I like to travel with a "real" camera in my pocket when I go for walks or on bike rides so I started looking for a nice light weight point n shoot camera. After shopping around the Canon SX600 HS caught my eye. The camera is just the right size and weight for me and it fits nicely in my pocket.
Summary: Selected this camera based on a "best buy" rating from Consumer Reports. Camera is fine, easy to use, pretty easy to figure out w/o a manual. Did not expect that it would NOT be covered by warranty, and that the seller would not reveal that at all in the product description.
Summary: This camera takes awesome pictured and video! It's very easy to use, especially since I have other Canon camera's, and controls and menus are similar. I especially like the 18x zoom. This camera replaced a previous Canon camera that I took swimming in the ocean, which it didn't like! My bad!
Purchased this camera for myself and I love it. Wasn't looking for anything too dramatic

Summary: Purchased this camera for myself and I love it. Wasn't looking for anything too dramatic; just to take family pics. It does a great job. I do have a tendency to shake a little, but the pictures come out perfect. Great camera, great price. I have also used the self timer and it's easy and fun.
