Summary: Kind of disappointed. For the price. I wouldn't waste your money. I wish I would have just spent a couple hundred more for a DSLR. The picture quality is just ok. I have a much cheaper point in shoot that takes better pictures. I've used automatic and manual settings and it just isn't great. I think my cannon views are changing after this disappointing purchase. I would not recommend. Save your money and buy something better.
Conclusion: I have had this camera long enough to charge the battery and try to set it up. I keep getting a lens error and the FAQ says I need to contact the company for repair. If this is a known problem why are they selling these cameras?
Summary: I received this item however had the following exceptions: 1. The box reached me opened 2. the Bag was not included 3. The Memory card was also not included 4. It didn't even have my name tag included. 5. I had to present photo's of the same item to the courier just for it to be identified. Otherwise the camera is working perfectly. This has disappointed me a bit.
Summary: I have an iPhone 5s. I love the photos that I take with my phone. However I also wanted the ability to take cameras with an optical zoom. After reading all of the reviews I selected this camera expecting to get at least as high of quality as my 5S. No such luck. I took side by side photos without the zoom. The Canon photos were of amazingly poor quality compared to the 5S. I was actually shocked by the difference.
Summary: I was so anxious to receive this camera, only to be completely disappointed. I have a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS, and I took pictures side by side and compared the two. The Canon PowerShot SX260 HS took much better photos. The SX 510 had too much noise. Even in the lower ISO setting. Maybe i didn't set it up right, i don't know. All i know is that my Canon PowerShot SX260 HS was alot better, and I've never had to do anything to it but just "Point and Shoot".
Summary: I placed this order 3/31/14 hoping that I would get it this weekend. I keep checking the order and it says it is still processing. However, it says that it would be shipped within 1 to 2 days of placing the order. this is why I decided to buy the camera from you all. now I feel misled. here is my order # 73960692.
New camera in for repair to Canon after only two months

Summary: I was so excited to buy this camera since I've always been a fan of Canon products. I am not a professional photographer but do use a camera weekly for various projects around the house and also on vacations. Everything worked fine until one day, two months into my ownership, the camera would no longer download pictures to my computer. I contacted Canon and they had me send it to them for repair.
