Summary: I don't liked it that much. The quality of the pictures is not so good. The camera needs to be in a fixed or steady place to get good photo but this is not the case as you want to take pictures while you are walking or riding a car.. etc It has options that are available on 10 years old cameras and even worse.
Summary: While the bundle seems ok, there were a few limitations we were unaware of. One is that you cannot switch out and change lenses as the one that came with is fixed. The other is, in order to use any filters for effects, you need an adapter in order to attach any filters. In addition, one thing that happened while it was shipped was the package that contained some cleaning materials and mini tripod broke open during shipment so the materials inside were saturated with the...
Summary: The camera took a while to get used to. It takes a little longer then I expected to focus and the pictures tended to be dark in the AUTO mode. Much better in the LIVE mode. Also the video did not always work. It refused to start a few times. Those are the negatives. I really enjoyed the wider angle lens and the 30X zoom was great.
Don't expect to take good wildlife photos with this camera!

Summary: I really like to take pictures of birds and wildlife, and I was quite disappointed to find out that this camera has no "continuous shooting" or "rapid shooting" mode. Well, it does, but it's not fast. You can take a picture approximately every 2 seconds. I have a 4 year old Powershot SX10 and it can take up to 6 frames per second, and even my husband's sub-$100 Canon Elph can take around 4 frames per second!
Excerpt: I've been in the process of finding a really nice bridge camera to use for car shows that I frequent as well as an upcoming trip to Niagara Falls. I had previously been using an old PowerShot A560 and my iPhone and had been wanting to pick up a DSLR to start taking some more professional photos. Unfortunately most of those are out of my price range. After doing some research I settled on picking up the SX500 IS at a local store yesterday.
Summary: The camera is small (compact). I would not suggest the use of this camera if aempting to take sports/action pictures. The camera is unable to capture anything thats fast in motion. BUT the quality of photos turn out pretty nice. A great beginner camera.
