Wow!!

  • Conclusion: This is my favorite camera I've ever owned. I took over 2000 pictures on a lengthy Western USA trip and had very few bad ones. A lot of pictures were made though the car windows. I had a lot of fun taking all kinds of shots with the huge zoom. Pictures of the moon look like they came from NASA. With the neck strap and the LCD turned to face upwards the camera functions a lot like a twin lens reflex with a waist level viewfinder. It's a great way to get steady shots.
  • Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, easy to use

  • Summary: I Love this Canon Power Shot SX50 HS Camera! Photography is my passion not my profession. I normally use a Canon T-2i with a 18-135 mm lens.
  • Pros: Point & shoot, easy to use, great photos using zoom without a tripod
  • Cons: battery could have a longer life (I am going to get an extra battery to have on hand)

  • Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, raw added
  • Cons: macro still needs some minor tweaking., front command dial needed for the m settings, improvement in low light capability, not wifi enabled

  • Excerpt: As an avid outdoors person living in Alaska the small size of the camera and the 50 optical zoom sold me on it. The only negative is having to print 200 pages of the manual.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
  • Cons: No printed manual
