Excerpt: I have owned this camera for quite sometime, and I am fairly satisfied. It is a perfect camera for new photographers just starting out. This camera has many positive attributes. It can be used with a tripod, and it has many built in settings.
Summary: I'm currently using my camera for my new blog. It takes amazing pictures up close. The only down side is I wish their was a way to make the camera settings easier to access. For example as events are going on lighting, scenary & backdrops change. I would love to be able to change for such settings in a faster way as I am shooting.
Pros: Easy To Use, Large Clear LCD, Quiet, Tilt /Swivel LCD
Cons: Lag / Shutter Delay, Poor Image Stabilization
Summary: I'll stick with this camera until I figure it out. I wanted something smaller to use in place of my SLR and this may be it, but not yet. Becasue I am not accustomed to this type of camera, I may be too critical. I'll let you know in another couple of months. Another $100 and I cold have an SLR.
Pros: Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization
Cons: Lag / Shutter Delay, Poor For Action Shots, Very Slow Shutter
Summary: Wanted to upgrade from my compact camera but without the complications and price of a DSLR. This camera does excellent photos. It is very easy to use in it's basic functions but can offer very advanced stuff...half of which I still have to discover! Bracketing (to do HDR) is a very useful feature and the photo rate is pretty good...it does the 3 photos in about 1 second. The zoom is incredible!
Summary: This was an upgrade from an older version of the powershot and I loved that camera and this one has proved to be even. Features I liked are still there plus I have video in the same camera and it is great.
