Summary: Actually bought this because My Canon Rebel T1 was a bit big to carry around, wanted something to fit in my purse, and my friend had a powershot that did better close up pictures than my T1. Was not disappointed! it has an INSANE zoom (I could zoom a bird far away) does great videos, and has all the same features as my T1 Rebel (except landscape), including manual zoom on close-ups, a hole for using tripod, A - T , etc.
Summary: I love my new camera, easy to operate, nice clear pictures and light weight. The camera arrived earlier than the date it was suppose to arrive, making it a surprise. One negative thing was there was no carrying case for camera and to store the rechargeable battery. Maybe in the future Canon would consider making one to fit or come with the purchase of the camera. Second purchase with Amazon and will shop again in the near future.
Excerpt: "In my opinion this product is amazing!! It's not too big and not too small! It's light to carry around and not complicated at all to use! The colour scheme is beautiful and the graphics on this camera are amazing!!!! The flash on the camera is amazing and is good for a go 2 camera that you to guise to make vlogs or take pictures when you're out and about. The lense is pretty amazing too, it's very clear and the zoom doesn't suddenly change to bad ...

Summary: I love the 20X zoom and the fact that the camera is still small enough to carry with me wherever I go. I've taken some shots that I wouldn't even have considered with my last camera. The only thing that is even a slight irritation is the flash that sometimes catches me off guard and pops up under my finger, but I'm getting used to holding it in a different way now. I've experienced some difficulty in focusing close up sometimes and I'm not sure if it's me or the camera.
Great light weight alternative to DSLR when skiing.

Summary: I purchased the SX270 to use as compact alternative to my Canon 7D for a recent ski holiday. I was pleasantly surprised with the image quality of this camera, image stabilisation proved excellent and it was very easy to use. Battery life for still photographs, even in cold conditions was good and was able to last a full day's skiing, however life reduced dramatically when the video function was used.
Summary: This is another excellent all-rounder from Canon - good value, good features, good photos, good usability. I had a Sony camera and just didn't get on with it nearly so well. The flash is surprisingly good really, considering how tiny it is. Battery life is a little weak, perhaps - although it depends how you use it. It will record about 45 mins to 1 hour of 640 x 480 video (not really too worried about HD myself).
Summary: We have wanted a new compact camera for a while, this is reasonably prices and has loads of features, still getting used to it It has had limited use so far but we are happy with the image quality and the 'feel' of the camera. We did look at the 280 as it has Wi-Fi but it didn't directly upload to social sites so we decided not to spend the extra.
