Excerpt: My old Canon Powershot 620 died last year when I dropped it. :-( As it was quite an old camera, I expected a newer model would work a good deal better. I've had the camera for about two weeks and haven't quite mastered all the bells and whistles. But so far I've been quite pleased with it. a) Things I liked: The camera is quite light and compact. I liked the 20X zoom. And even at 20X, in good lighting the pictures are sharp.
Summary: The camera is small and easy to carry around for a 20X zoom. But large enough to have decent sized LCD which can be made bright enough to use outdoors. The automatic exposure features work well and I have not had to override them with manual settings. The picture quality is good. HD movies are absolutely stunning. The only problem is the battery runs down very quickly when shooting movies in below freezing temperatures.
Summary: We have both a full featured DLSR and a point and shoot. We wanted a camera that fit right in the middle of those two. This camera is great. You can spend 50$ or 1000$ but it's not about he money it's about getting a great camera that takes great photos and this is it.
Summary: I am very much enjoying this camera. I wanted one that would give me better quality photos in low light conditions with no flash, this seems to do the trick. It is an adjustment to use a smaller camera, but less weight is nice! The zoom is excellent!
Summary: Very easy to apply with NO BUBBLES! Made of stiff plastic, not the flimsy kind - doesn't affect touch screen cameras I have tried many different screen protectors including glass ones - these are the best.
Summary: Great camera but ordered online and still had to go to the store to buy an SD card and a card reader. Does not come with either of these or a cablke to plug into computer. So what is the point of my online experience, still had to fight through the holiday crowds. Not impressed.
Summary: So far very pleased with this camera. Fast start up time. The autofocus is fast and accurate and the vibration control appears to do a good job - it handled underwater shots of fast moving fish very well. The zoom range is excellent and the vibration control makes the longer end usable. Nice bright screen, although in very bright sunlight it is very difficult to see anything.
