Great in add-on features but bad in the areas where it matters most

Summary: I like the picture quality, the Wi-Fi feature, the video quality, the flash etc etc...But what's the use when the battery system is so bad that it doesn't allow you take any videos at all. I am having the same problem as the others have mentioned in this forum already. Having this camera is like owning a fully loaded car which asks to refill the gas for every mile.
Summary: I have had this only a week and I am returning it and replacing it with a Canon SX260 HS. I took the camera to Disney and went through 3 batteries and could only get 15 minutes max of video time on a fresh battery. Still images were not a problem. According to the Canon website if the camera has the sixth digit of 3 or higher in the serial number, the camera should not have the battery issue. I did the Firmware update prior to using the camera.
Summary: This camera had trouble with focusing. It was on the highest pixels and still was putting out a small, poor quality pictures. I usually love cannon but not this camera. It may have been a defective one. The reviews were all so great....I was hoping I would feel the same way.
Summary: This camera is a fantastic camera - when it works. I bought this camera to replace my SX230, which was great for a long time. First SX280 worked well, and had the much discussed video low battery indicator issue, but I presumed that it just needed the firmware update, and hadn't got around to applying the fix. And to be clear, it doesn't just flash the indicator, it turns itself off almost immediately after starting to record video.
Summary: I like my Canon products but not this one. So many pictures and opportunities missed because of battery/camera not functioning properly. Can not recommend it. I am sending the camera in for repairs but based on others reviews I am not hopeful. If I have a different experience I will follow up, but wanted to get this information out there to save others from disappointments.
Summary: I'm not a camera guru so my review will not give all kind of specs. I purchased this camera to take with me on a recent trip to China and the Philippines. I read all the other reviews and complaints about the camera shutting down when recording video. This camera had all the features I was looking for in a point and shoot camera. I was looking for something with decent megapixels, and with a powerful zoom. I was also looking for a camera that records video in HD.
Summary: Don't buy this camera. Very disappointed in Canon customer service. I read about the bug in the battery indicator but saw one post that the firmware update had fixed it. It has NOT. I sent it back to Canon TWICE and both times they sent it back unfixed. The second time they claimed the issue is that the battery runs out more quickly on video mode, and that is the problem. It's NOT.
Summary: Got it quickly and loving using it "For the most pictures only"!! I should have read more about the problems with the battery management while using the movie mode! I have the same problems that many others have had with the movie mode kicking the battery management logic out the window and although the battery has a full charge and can not get any more "CHARGED", the camera's battery management logic says that the battery is "LOW" and flashes the red battery indicator,...
Summary: Like many customers out there, I had the low battery indicator problem. The June 2013 firmware update does not fix the problem. I don't know if it fixes an overall battery life problem or not. The problem isn't just that the low battery indicator flashes when trying to use the video function, the problem is that it will actually give you a warning, and then shut itself off while you are recording.
Summary: This camera will only record for approximately 12 to 18 minutes. I have downloaded the firm ware and it did not improve the recording time. It does take OK photos. This is just an ordinary camera. Mediocre at best. So If you want a nice camera phone with more bang. Look elsewhere.....
