"first sight a good camera"
22 May 2013
Pros: handy, colorful
Cons: battery life miserable; shows battery low after a few shots, changes again to more battery, to low. u never know how long it lasts. using flash or video, battery is low immediately. not bearable!!! flash at the wrong side for right hand people!!!!
Excerpt: Lens guard developed dimples after 4days of use. Won't completely close. If you press, gently on it, it feels like paper. The cover over the lens won't completely close so its back in the shop. Luckily I had a all hazards warranty. Made mistake of putting it in front pants pocket with the strap attached. Guess the strap dented it. GPS would not lock on in the middle of the back yard (15 minutes on a stool) where a Garmin will lockup in 2 minutes.
Summary: I bought this because I wanted GPS (for travel photos), I wanted a compact cameria and I liked the idea of big zoom. I was a bit worried when I bought it about speed and battery life and image stabilisation. In terms of my requirements it has fulfilled my expectations for GPS, size and battery life. Zoom is fine and is pretty easy to use, but I found I did not really like the high leves of l zoom as much as I thought I would.
Pros: GPS OK. Compact. Battery life OK.
Cons: Poor quality pictures. Slow. Image stabilisation poor/doesnt work. Menu based controls incomprehensible
