Excerpt: Purchased this to replace Ixus 100 IS (which I also found to be a great compact). ISO performance is good to 800 and as good as you would expect above. The 14x zoom range is useful (especially compared to the 3x of the 100 IS) whilst retaining a compact portable form. The 3" screen is detailed enough and I like the ratio of the screen which is great fo movie shooting.
Summary: I've enjoyed getting to know my new cannon, it takes lovely photos, has a great zoom and I have used it in a number different environments. It is heavier than I had expected and the pop up flash is in an annoying place but it still produces photo's that I am happy with and I have enjoyed using the black and white, sepia and other colour features.
Summary: bought this camera in dec 2011 from amazon and the quality of photos are great.however with no viewfinder its difficult to use in bright sunlight and i have just found the battery not recharging after not that much us. looked this up on internet and it seems that other people have had similar issues with the battery.New one costs about a tenner so not that much of an issue but need to be aware
Summary: I actually ended up buying this from Argos a few weeks ago as it was slightly cheaper at the time and I was being impatient so wanted to collect it the same day. I already had a Canon Ixus70 which I have been really pleased with but wanted an upgrade for my upcoming holiday to Norway. Really hoping to see the Northern Lights (fingers crossed everyone please!
Summary: I bought this camera back in April 2011. I have a Canon dSLR camera but wanted something smaller to take to concerts or places where larger cameras aren't allowed or a pain to carry around. My starting point for buying a camera was for something that would shoot well in low-light and this absolutely fits that bill. The flash can be a nuisance as it always pops up when you switch the camera on.
Summary: I recently purchased this camera after considering few other models in this price range. The driving factor for the decision was low light performance and manual modes for creative photography. Having used for few months now, I absolutely love this camera. I am able to take my shots with various settings to get all sorts of desired effects.
Summary: I purchased my cannon powershot camera a few months ago and it hasn't failed me once. It is so easy to use that I didn't need to turn to the instruction booklet once. From battery and memory card installation right through to the various setting, everything is explained on screen. This was particularly helpful as I wanted to get snapping immediately.
Summary: I really like this camera and as usual it is another Canon camera that takes excellent pictures! I always have people commenting about the photos that I take being so good. One thing I have found frustrating compared to my last canon is that I can't find the function to change it to wide screen or the sunset setting.... The zoom is amazing and overall its an excellent, easy to use camera that takes great photos!
