Great "old school" digital camera for my "old school" Mom
5 October 2015
Summary: I bought this as a gift for my mother whose a senior still reminiscing about film cameras. She has trouble with chargers and mini-usb plugs - she's over 80 so it's forgivable. Summary: I love this camera already! I haven't used it a lot yet but it's my 6th Canon digital camera and all have been gems. My single greatest reason for choosing this camera was that it uses AA batteries.
Summary: I originally bought this camera for an introductory photography class, and I'd say that this was money well spent. This camera gives a lot more control than other compact cameras I've owned before. It has options to change the lens aperture, shutter speed, white balance, and ISO.
Summary: I used to shoot weddings (in the old film days) on a contract basis for a local studio so I know something about photography. For a simple camera with a lot of features that takes very good pictures, this camera is a keeper. The zoom range is great.
Summary: I listened to all the other reviews, and the good ones seem pretty spot on. This little camera looks good, handles good and is comfortably intuitive, well designed, well built. More than enough camera for my knowledge and needs.
Summary: This little camera rocks! I've had many cameras, 35 mm Nikons & Canons, medium film format Hasselblads and Rolleiflexs, and an assortment of pocket digital and 35mm film cameras. The one thing I've come to learn is; the best camera is the one you have with you all the time.
