Its a great Camera
Summary: I Bought this Camera because I wanted a camera that used AA Batteries and had a 10x or more optical zoom with a wide-angle lens and optical image stabilizer and built in flash What I like most about it is the image quality. It has 720p HD video in stereo sound with the press of a button. You can zoom while shooting your videos and view them easily later on your HDTV through the HDMI connector.
Summary: This is a great camera. The video quality is amazing and the pictures look professional. It's great for zooming in on birds outside my window. I was really happy when I realized there is a macro lens feature, meaning you can take close up pictures of things and get them really detailed (example: pollen on a flower). Yes, this camera takes two AA batteries. That can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what kind of pictures you want.
Summary: This camera was so nice that it was stolen the very first day of my vacation in the Grand Canyon. It took wonderful photos of our first night (trapped in San Francisco airport after our flight from NJ to Phoenix was missed) Go United!!! But seriously, the photos I was able to take were wonderful and the camera was easy to use. Unfortunately I lost all of those photos when my traveling companion left our rental car unlocked and it was stolen.
Summary: I bought this camera for my wife who does not like techy things. She likes to keep it simple and easy and this camera does that. She also loves the color. It's also easy to transfer pics from camera to computer with software and cable provided. 16x Zoom feature allows for great closeups. Have had it for less than one month and not tried all of the features, but trust in the Canon name.
Summary: I am delighted with my new camera. The 16X zoom, ease of taking videos, and other features make it a winner. Some have complained about using batteries up. Using rechargeable AA batteries solves this problem. I charge 4 of them, put 2 in the camera, and carry the other 2 as spares, so I'm always prepared and don't have to buy replacements. You only have to push a red button to start and stop a video take.
