Summary: All those great reviews written below... I agree. I wanted a replacement camera that was easy to use, uses AA batteries, and ideally would be a Canon since I"m already familiar with how a simple Canon works. This fits the bill... and more! My favorite... the ZOOM. WOW...
Summary: I have been using Kodak cameras for the past 10-12 yrs as part of my job to verify shipments. the Kodak cameras would break after a yr or so and I would have to replace it. since I had always paid for the extended warranty I never thought about purchasing a different make until my last camera.
Summary: I had read the reviews...I was a little wary after reading the reviews that said it used up the batteries too fast, so I bought the rechargeable variety. I haven't noticed that it uses them too quickly..I think it's the best digital camera I've ever had.
Summary: The camera was purchased to replace a Canon camera purchased 5 years ago. The old camera worked well but this one was on sale and had a better optical zoom. We went to NYC for the first time ever and this camera and one set(2) of batteries(fully charged) lasted me the entire 4...
Summary: Camera worked great. At 14 months, it locked up -- froze in the middle of a Hawaiian vacation. I looked into getting it fixed, which was too pricey to be worthwhile. My last digital Canon also locked up at the 24-month mark, meaning I will never buy a Canon again.
Summary: I should have listen to the other reviews!!!!! There is some kind of deficit with this camera that it goes through batteries in one to two sessions. I can't tell you how many important events I have missed because my batteries go dead and the camera shuts down.
Summary: This was to be my take-n-run camera when I didn't want to take our big, professional camera. To my surprise, the photos are so much better, even when printed. I take photos for my art work and am completely satisfied for purchasing this Canon.
